When I got trapped in fur town all the collars on my cubs dissapeared. Still locked in.
Was going back to Fur Town from the Cherry Blossom Grove to see what new cats I had and the game got stuck on the loading map. However, I could hear a music change that made me think the load was complete. Moving my hands around made some sounds so I tried to activate an item. Turned out I had selected a cat, because as soon as I did the load screen closed and it showed I had selected a cat. The game asked me to name the cat, etc, but once I completed the process the cat just continued to sit and stare at me. The Kinect was still recognizing my movements because the cats eyes would track my hand, but nothing else would happen. Tried going to the pause menu to restart, but the game would not reload. Finally went back out to the dashboard and then back in, but the game keeps reloading in with the same locked up map screen, followed by the same other problems. Anyone else experience this problem when loading? Do I need to start the game over? I really had been loving the game up until this happened.
That seems more like the actual Xbox than the game--as everyone else could easily just exit to the dashboard and didn't need to restart the Xbox at all...
Happened again.
What a shame that this thread got this far with this issue.
Especially because of the audience this game is geared toward.
But is sold a lot so I guess the score is:

Just wanted to add to this thread. We just got the kinect and new xbox setup tonight and kinectimals has frozen on us several times already. The first time was when we were just checking out the system on a brand new temporary profile. It completely froze on furtown....no sound, no response from the controls. Nothing short of rebooting the xbox could get it going again. I think it froze again in roughly the same place again, before we were able to reboot and successfully scan the plush toy code and select a cub. After that, I transferred a couple of profiles from an older xbox and we played on my daughter's profile for a bit. When when went to shutdown for the night, we exited to the main game menu (is that the same as going to furtown?) and it locked up the xbox again. For what it's worth, we haven't done anything with collars yet.
The game seems pretty cool and my kid loves it, so I really hope these issues can be resolved soon.
If help is needed to troubleshoot or test particular circumstances, just let me know.
Did you only have one animal with a collar and pendant?
A fix is going through the release process, I don't have a firm date yet, but will post here once it is available. In the meantime (as posted previously) only having one animal with a collar and pendant should avoid this issue.

This does sound more like a problem with the Xbox rather than the game, have you tried contacting Microsoft's customer support?
If you create a new profile and try the game, does the same issue occur?

Just adding to the thread here so that this can potentially be corrected.
I had completed the 3rd of 5 trails at La Selva (3rd location) and I had unlocked the Serval cat there. I had previously started with the Black Panther and unlocked both the White Jaguar and the Bornean Clouded Leopard.
I went to Fur Town from my House, and had the map stuck in loading for a long time. I heard the flying dude in the background and accessed the pause menu. I asked to go to Main Menu and it loaded the cats. However, I couldn't fully chose one to back to the game. My Black Panther was missing and all 3 of the unlocked cats and all of the starter cats were there. I could 'adopt' any of them, but once I skipped naming and skipped the photo recognition it would just hang with the cat jumping playfully.
And since I see it in the thread:
I put a collar & pendant on the 3 unlocked cats, but I don't think I did to my panther.
Hope this helps with the bug testing. I was mostly disappointed because I brought Kinectimals to my family's house for Thanksgiving for my 3 and 7 year old nieces to play with and I couldn't figure out for a while if the game was broken or if the girls were doing something wrong. It very nearly ended in tears for all three of us.
Thanks Micheal. We are awaiting the fix. Both of my children have this issue. They put the collars on before we knew about the issue and they are patiently waiting for a fix rather than starting over.
