Kinectimals Loading map problem

Was going back to Fur Town from the Cherry Blossom Grove to see what new cats I had and the game got stuck on the loading map. However, I could hear a music change that made me think the load was complete. Moving my hands around made some sounds so I tried to activate an item. Turned out I had selected a cat, because as soon as I did the load screen closed and it showed I had selected a cat. The game asked me to name the cat, etc, but once I completed the process the cat just continued to sit and stare at me. The Kinect was still recognizing my movements because the cats eyes would track my hand, but nothing else would happen. Tried going to the pause menu to restart, but the game would not reload. Finally went back out to the dashboard and then back in, but the game keeps reloading in with the same locked up map screen, followed by the same other problems. Anyone else experience this problem when loading? Do I need to start the game over? I really had been loving the game up until this happened.

I tried the fixes on the other message board, but with no luck. I tried going to fur town on another save file and that worked fine, but still locked up on my file. Its strange that everything still seems to be going on behind the load map. I can hear bumble talking and when I move my hands they show up over the map, but impact the world behind it. If I manage to select a cat the screen appears as it should, but the game locks up if I try to proceed back out of Fur Town after adopting the new cub. Strange. I'm thinking I might have to reset my save file.

Three more reports of the problem relating to visiting Fur Town on the other forum. Would there be a way to disable the Autosave so I could go to Fur Town in my future save file without being nervous?

There's no way to disable the autosave, it will automatically save if you're signed into a profile. What you could do (if you have a memory card or USB flash drive) is copy the save, then if you do run into a problem you have a backup you can revert to.

Really?

This is possibly the worst response i have come across regarding this issue.
There are numerous accounts of this happening and the best solution FROM A PRODUCER is "sorry, you might have to start over"
Tell that to a 7 year old that worked so hard to adopt her 6 animals before the game froze on her.
My suggestion, is that you and your team research this issue a bit further and create a patch that will resolve.
Again, I will say there are numerous accounts of this happening.
If you cant find them before this issue is resolved I can provide links to help.

Same problem here.

I have the older 360, My daughter's last saved game is when she opened up the Cherry Blossom area. Everytime we try and load her saved game from the title screen the map appears with the hourglass symbol on the bottom right corner and after a few seconds you can see at the very top of your screen ( the map doesn't cover 100% of the TV) cub town, but the map will not disappear. You can hear Bumble and you can move your hands to select cubs, but can't see anything bc the map screen will not go away.

I have a saved game from the very beginning on my own profile. Started it up and worked fine.

I've cleaned the disc.

I've cleared the memory cache.

I've removed and attached the HD.

One attempt we tried, the mapscreen went away, but after a few moments her hands disappeared and it was like the Kinect didn't even see her, even though we went through the visual diagnostics on the kinect and everything was working fine.

OK

First I'll apologize for my last post. I normally use sarcasm for comedic purposes and not an attack.
Here's more info...
-I'm using a newer XBOX
-I've cleared the cache
-The disc is spotless

I just got upset that the solution is to keep a backup save for WHEN it happens again.
That is unacceptable
If a CD is manufactured and somehow doesn't play the second half of the album I doubt the solution is "Just listen to the first couple songs again"

We have started over from the start and my daughter LOVES THIS GAME.
I hope we get some resolve with this issue before we get stuck at the map again.

I appreciate that it is frustrating, we haven't seen this issue here, so I can't provide you with any more information, than to have a back-up save. We're looking into it and when I have more information, I will of course pass it along.

We've not managed to reproduce this here, which seems to indicate that it is a specific set of circumstances that causes this problem. So it is possible that you may not encounter the problem again, as I do not not know the cause, I have no way of saying how likely this is. We'll continue looking into it and when we find out more I'll reply to this thread.

If you do encounter the issue again, any information you can provide could help identify the problem. For example, how often did you visit fur town? Did you visit after every cub unlock? Was it after a certain number? Had you completed the game?

Again, I do appreciate your (and your daughter's frustration) and we are trying to discover the cause of the problem.

Thanks

I appreciate the quick response.
For a quick troubleshoot I'm going to return the game for another copy.
It seems its only a handful out of a boatload thats experiencing this.
But the point is it is happening so I hope the team is doing their best TO recreate this scenario.
My opinion is this game is the best of the kinect launch titles and it would be a shame if a technical issue like this gets swept under the rug because you can't figure it out.
I will continue to post issues if the arise as the game moves along, but the details your asking me for are that of a player with obsessive compulsive disorder.

While it does seem to be just a few people experiencing this, we're obviously not happy , we want people to enjoy the game, not be frustrated by it. My questions weren't for you to try and recreate them, but in case they sparked any thoughts from you or anyone else reading this thread.

..

I know.

I'm sure you guys want this fixed as much as I do.

That was just sarcasm taking over again. Sometimes I have no control over it.

If the issue arises again I will be sure to post the details to help you help us.

Also ran into this issue.

I was in Celestial Glacier. Unlocked two Mini Games thus far.
I had all gold medals except the Suri Mountain one--I only had Bronze for that.
I had all DLC except for the Amazon Preorder tiger. So all the Burger King, Plushie, and other codes and things entered/scanned.
I had adopted every single Cat I earned.

From what I've read, it seems people end up having this happen at some point when they tried to go directly to Fur Town from another area, so it seems it's something relating to that.

When my daughter starts her saved game it goes directly to furtown, but the map load screen won't go away - so we're stuck.

She has gotten to the Cherry Blossom area.

We haven't scanned anything or no DLC.

We have had one update via Xbox Live that we were required to download, not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. Prob not as the update downloaded the very first time we played the game when it was working perfectly fine.

Would like to add on what happened--it would load in the background, but the map wouldn't go away.

If I accidentally selected something, I'd be able to see, but I'd lose my hand icon and no longer be able to do anything except pause.

If I paused after I no longer had the hand, I wouldn't be able to select anything from the Pause menu. If before when the map is still up, I'm able to.

All XBox 360 stuff works fine :/ (I can use the controller, exit out, nothing wrong with the console itself)
