I never thought I would reach a point where I was tired of bashing fdev for their well earned fiasco that is elite dangerous, Though they make it so easy....and that feeling ladies gentlemen is the unrepressed writing on the wall.

It might just be Time to pack up. I have felt a disturbance within my stuff...

While we should be rocking out to the stars with tales here from yonder. We have elite 1307: super regressed nerfed edition now complete with even less features for the future.

And to boot we will have to rewrite science and history....how can u survive this long without WATER?!

I have started looking at other Space Games (Shall not mention its name) and alas having more fun with it, due to Odyssey's poor release and doubtful resurrection from it. I love Elite since 1984 and hope it pulls through, but the powers that be need to change their attitudes and that is the big "if", Cause I feel they are set in stone and the "Can not teach old dogs new tricks" feeling.

Nah, I've lost my hope 2018 when they went silent. The result of this year long silence was garbage that downgarded the game. It would have been better if they'd never added Odyssey to Elite and instead continued to add new ships or SRVs to the existing game and hire Drew again for some lore progress.

But hey, this doesn't generate revenue!

FD is too profit oriented and will happily sacrifice customer (and worker) well being if it generates more revenue. That's how I see it.
And that's why I have not spend a single cent on any FD products ever since. I'm just not agreeing with their product and working policy. And I advise anyone who is not agreeing as well to close the money drain as apparently it's the only language they understand.

Not impossible, because as you say it's been done before.

But Hello Games are not a publicly traded company... and had a good culture to start with. That really does make all the difference.

Glassdoor only gives you one side of any story. It can be an interesting insight though, much like steam stats/reviews.

That's true - although having read a good few of them they would certainly explain quite a lot of what we've seen unfold over the past few months/years.

Frontier is 3.8 on 5 on glassdoor. It’s rather good. Streams are fecal matter, go look it up yourself.

Personally I don't put a lot of value in numerical scores these days - been burned too many times judging the quality of a film based on the number score on IMDb which almost always is 1-2 points out of 10 too high, if not more.

As for the OP, I'll patiently wait until next week's update (which apparently will also feature a dev Q&A) until 'final' judgment so to speak. I don't expect much mind, but it'll still give a good indication of the pace and direction for the game in the short to medium term (i.e. to what extent I can expect improvements or have to put up with the status quo).

Buying X4 this weekend, quite excited about getting my teeth into that. Elite will of course remain installed but I feel it's time to slowly ease out of it because I don't think the future of it is particularly bright, which means I won't spend any more money on it now (primarily in terms of cosmetics as I'm somewhat doubtful there will be another DLC).
