Manticore Executioner

Can anyone tell me what benefit (If anything) there might be by putting the 'Scope Mod' on the Manticore Executioner. I know it already has one, just asking if it improves anything.

I would say there is no benefit on the Executioner. Go for something else.

I can snipe peeps from across the settlement without it. It sucks for hip fire though (duh), try that upgrade.. Grade 5 Executioner is pretty dope..

Was that the correct usage of "dope"? I can never tell..

Hmm, I'm not convinced about Faster Handling and Scope as a combo. FH is so much faster than I expected based on Ydiss' comments. It is a bit jarring, especially with the added zooming in for the Scope mode. Video of my very first outing with both mods fitted below, so you can see for yourself. Note the second kill makes use of the faster sight reset (settle) time that Ydiss mentioned in his post.

A scope is a magnification X 2 of the whole screen, making aiming easier.
Lots of different opinions as to the best mods for an Executioner.
FWIW mine are audio masking, scope, and then most likely stability and mag size.

A better and adaptable of lining sight will be better. Right now trying to aim at target on blank snow field is a guessing game. The line sight disappear completely.

It certainly improves my ability to sight up and hit targets first time at mid distances. If I miss and they run towards me zig zagging then the extra zoom can be a hindrance though. No adjustment on the scope zoom. Still worth using though imo.

Audio masking for that thing is an absolute game changer. I finally got it installed on my G4 last night, took an assassination mission, plunked the target from about 50m and just stowed it and walked away...
Oh How i agree, also Noise Suppressor for the plasma pistol to use inside buildings for wiping the NPC's away without alerting the Galaxy.

The image comparison in CMDR Episparh's gallery explains this very well indeed - I used to come across a pre-installed scope-enhanced laser SMG before, and couldn't tell for the life of me what the difference was or whether it was bugged (as the SMG has a scope of sorts, more like sights really, attached per default, similar to the Executioner).

It really is that simple, the entire screen merely gets an additional zoom enhancement via the camera, instead of an actual scope attachment.

That is so incredibly lame and minimal effort on FDev's part:ROFLMAO:🤦‍♂️ I guess 'physical' weapons enhancements are limited to overpriced and out-of-place Arx skins. /golf clap

I prefer 150 meter kill. No NPC ever knew what was happening. :)
 
I've got Scope, Faster Handling and Audio Masking - been deliberating on the fourth modification for ages, though it's not a big deal since I've lined up 3 other Executioners for different tasks.

Makes for a great binocular substitute. Zooming on planets is cool:

The Executioner also works well as a combat rifle. Magazine size, faster handling, stability and reload speed. Not hip fire accuracy like I did, though, that mod is useless. Pair it with an Intimidator for short range and you have all common combat distances covered. Just watch your ammo levels.
