Map of the entire roster by (approximate) animal distribution

I had actually recommended something similar, originally, before the vote. But the 3rd Map, the one to have Sloths and Bats with Habitat Animals should be named differently, to avoid confusion for the average forum member. I am recommending sticking to the In-Game Terms of Habitat and Exhibit for the Vanilla Maps, and then having an Additional Map where WE Animals can go in with Habitat Animals in the Context of Customizability/Creativity and the ability to integrate WE's into Habitats. We can name this something else, where creative designers of complex habitat projects can use. This way everyone will have what they want. But I think Butterflies should also be in that additional map for the sake of integration into habitat designs. All WE Animals, present and future should be on that map. We can name it something like the Extended Habitat Map, implying the extended definition of the in-game term, or a completely new name that references Creativity/Customizability/Integration. Having WE Animals in both of the Vanilla Maps will be confusing, that's why we need a 3rd.
This is a good idea, I see no reason why not.

Habitat animals (including exhibit mammals)
You mean "Extended Habitat, including WE Animals"? Because Butterflies can be used in the same way to customize Habitats in creative designs, as I explained in my Argument. Also to make it clear again, according to my recommendation, the Vanilla Habitat map that is outside the Spoiler is mechanically Habitat animals only. I think you should also keep the Vanilla Exhibit map outside Spoilers as well, to decrease the total number of Spoilers, now that we are getting extra ones with taxonomic breakdowns.

I think we have enough votes for the verdict!

Butterflies and bat will all be on the exhibit map by a wide margin of votes.

The sloth will get a special treatment, and be on both maps as a compromise. Reasons for this are that a third of the voters did vote for it to be in the habitat maps, and it would be weird to put it with the arthropods rather than the other xenartheans.

Thoughts? Objections? Speak now or forever be a little bummed when you open this random-ass semi-popular post in the planet zoo forums.

Edit: for requests bats will also be on both maps
don't get me wrong but honestly i find this decision hypocritical at the very least.. in all democracies i know if a party gets 70% of the votes (which is absurdly high and never even happens), there is no way they won't be government single handedly.. it reminds me of this comment:
But it's not like voting for an option is going to change anything, this forum isn't exactly known for its fair community orientated decisions

we are talking about a situation where exhibit sloths received 70% of votes vs 30% habitat sloths, and 80% of exhibit bats vs 20% habitat bats
i think the numbers speak for themselves
a third map? maybe.. only if it is named distinct enough to not get mixed up

Comment with most likes decides the fate of each species!
please don't forget what you said when you started the poll

I know it was a while back I said that but I'm not wrong. Having a vote where both animals still get added to habitat maps makes votes like these pointless.
now i wonder what would have happened if habitat sloth won by 51% to 49% or 70-30
because that was the initial announcement (yoav:Comment with most likes decides the fate of each species!)

edited to delete the harsh parts

that's the whole point, actually
no need to have a vote if the result isn't going to change
why did we even go through this
You should have continued to read the thread. The main map will not have the sloth and bat precisely for this criticism.

An additional map will be added to the hidden folders with the bat and sloths.

I updated the original comment to reflect that.

i did read it, still not consistent with the initial announcement
you should have specified what actions will be taken from the beginning
if the announcement reads "Comment with most likes decides the fate of each species!" then people are going to assume 51-49% decides the fate of each species
which is why i asked what would have happened if it was the other way around with habitat sloth leading 51-49
also i don't understand why butterflies get a different treatment, they are walkthrough exhibit too, with same building capabilities

Honestly I don't have much stakesl in it, nor a lot of time to dedicate to it. I have all the maps at home should I want to check them. I try to make everyone happy. So now the main map will go with the majority vote, and the minority vote will also get a map.

Regarding butterflies, only two people voted for them to be in the habitat map, compared to >30 in the exhibit map.

If it's important to you I can make a map with the butterflies in the habitat map.

and the minority vote will also get a map.
i have no problem with a third map, all i'm saying is if we also want minority to be happy, let's add butterflies to that map too and make it a consistent habitat + walkthrough
one of the most creative builders in the game, @ZSHplays wanted habitat butterflies for instance

maybe it could be named creative builders habitat map?

i have a feeling it would have been habitat only

democracy shouldn't be a tool to get what you want, it should be the purpose
I don't like this accusation. You do realize I have all the map variations at home to use how I see fit, right?

Only reason this post got complicated was because many people have strong opinions about it, and I tried catering to everybody.

Had it been 51/49 for the habitats I'd still try to make the exhibit minority happy, like after the grasslands pack we moved all WE animals to exhibts
