Above is something I drew up because it was Sunday, I was bored, and I want a Gutamaya exploration vessel. You may find a full res version of the image here. I was using this reddit post to determine the ship's jump range which comes to about 70.76 LY assuming standard D class Internals, no optional internals, no hardpoints, no utility, and a 6A FSD engineered with Grade 5 Increased Jump Range with Mass Manager.
So Gutamaya could really use a Medium Ship, particularly one that's good for hopping around the bubble and possibly beyond. I was inspired by the Prometheus class ship from Star Trek as seen below when it came to the four nacelles featured in the Surveyor. Each nacelle holds a medium hardpoint for the ship while also providing thrusters on the aft portions. Due to the four nacelles and central rear thrusters, I imagine this ship rivalling the Mamba in terms of speed when going in a straight line. Like most Gutamaya ships, its defensive focus is on the shields and having the ability to run away at the cost of hull strength.
For the cockpit, I was really inspired by the Cyclops from Subnautica, just a pure, unobstructed view of space all around you with no support frames like that in Lakon ships.
So I'm curious, what would you think of a ship along these lines being introduced into Elite? A medium exploration Gutamaya ship.
