Game Discussions Microsoft Flight Simulator

I wish there was, in MFS2020 or other flight sim game, some structured gameplay other than "select airport and spawn". TO me it's the biggest flaw across pretty much all civil aviation simulators.

Something like Euro/American Truck Simulators do very well, where you would start as a small time pilot flying a Cessna or as some backwater bush pilot taking odd jobs to earn cash, and later start your own company and start buying your own planes and creating your routes.

I guess this would need to create another game layer to simulate economy, route supply/demand, etc, but sometimes it gets boring to fly a plane "just because".
I would pay 200 quid for a career DLC to any civil flight sim.

I've wanted this as well, along with a system of progression, where you have to fly small cargo or passenger planes for a number of "missions" in order to unlock the bigger jets and more challenging routes / airports.

In fact it would be really cool if there was a natural PL progression, just like IRL. I mean, if I can jump into a 737 after 10 logged flight hours in a Cessna, something doesn't feel right.

Hence the market for the career-type and company management add-ons. Never saw the need myself, join a VA if you want a "career" mode.

Virtual Airline - such as BAVirtual ( https://www.bavirtual.co.uk/ ) and many others see https://www.vatsim.net/pilots/virtual-airlines for example.

Thanks, didn't know about that. But anyway, that doesn't solve my "problem". Well not really a problem, more of a wish.

Anyway, I saw the job offer posted above, and it says on the details they are hiring someone to make "missions" for "different game modes", so maybe I'l do get my wish granted :)

.......

Well I wasn't going to dig out a list of all the career / mission / fleet management / etc addons that are out there. I am sure you can google for yourself, here for example is a selection in Aerosoft's store (there are others):

VA:

Avoid if possible...

I think you missed my winking smiley in my reply - I know about "veteran affairs" in the USofA (I am ex-RN and served in the states a few times) but since we were talking about flight simulators I assumed your hospital remark was always intended as a joke.

Not a WAFU I hope ;)
