i have been following around and looking for specific things and i was directed to the system LTT 4497 but i had gotten there and most of the system is gone and missing. i had to research to find out if this was just a very low populated system or if it was broken. but as per https://www.edsm.net/en/system/bodies/id/2653/name/LTT+4497 there should be alot of planets here for me to look at.

i figured this was due to the compromised nav beacon in the system by the primary star. but i had scanned that and nothing filled out the system. i had used my discovery scanner and FSS to try scanning for the missing planets as well and still could not find the planets im interested in. further research from steam forums and redit posts have said to land at a station in system and relog via totally quitting out of the game and relogging back in would fix this. but it did not fix it. i jumped out of the system and back in and still no dice. i had even verified the integrity of the game files as one poster had said on another forum that fixed their problems and i just logged on just now to check and see if the systems were back and im still met with an empty system.

does anyone know what is going on and or how to fix this? i will attach some pictures of what i see in game. any insight would be appreciated.

Yarrr, matey, them planets ha' been eatin by da Raxxla. It happens. It is known.

On the other hand, I just found them all, so maybe you should just FSS some more.
ok. ive not ever used FSS before because im not really an explorer and what not. but ill watch a few more tutorials and relog back to that system after i know abit more about how FSS works and see if that changes the outcome.

you dont need to be an explorer to use the fss - it's a really nice tool
make sure you have the bindings properly set for fss and then make sure you use the fss to scan/id all the bodies in the system, the left low corner will list the percentage complete - when it reads 100%, you've scanned all the planetary bodies in the system

(and no, scanning the nav beacon is not the same as scanning the system using the fss)

yep you were right. i finally got around to playing with the FSS some more. and found the planet i need. yeah this FSS system is kinda weird. took a lot of learning. still dont have a decent control set up for it yet. but hey. i pushed through it. thank you for the help there man. sorry about the late response. ive just been grinding out some other materials first before i came back to this and potential disappointment.
