Moving into Alpha 3 - Steam Store Update

Anyone who has already purchased a pre-order of Planet Coaster will be given ALL the extras of the Thrillseeker Edition including Beta access, as a thank you for your continued support and feedback during the development of Planet Coaster. So with the current lower price of pre-order until the 25 August it’s the perfect time to pre-order or join the other Early Birds in Alpha now.

Seems like this was updatated, now also including the normal preorder, therefore i will also recieve the thrilleeker addon, right? Also, awesome.

Please see the general Steam FAQ here.

I just ordered the alpha a day or two ago. Originally I read and understood only Early Access Purchase would have Beta Access......
I pre-ordered awhile back. Based on these findings, how does one ask for a refund of the Alpha given the November Release and Beta will be in October? $45 Alpha Access for 8 weeks is not worth the additional cost on top of the $30 US and given Steam your prices for Thrillseeker are less than advertised price of Frontier Pre-Order....... You should not of restricted pricing and feel that is bad marketing.

Not yet... At the moment you can buy Planet Coaster here: https://www.frontierstore.net/
thank you but is this the early thrill pack or something? I also want the beta :p All I see is planet coaster for 26,99 but im not sure if thats with the super thrill beta pack

will it also be 26,99 on steam? I prefer buying on steam because I dont need a new account for everything, that isnt about frontier but its just my preference to buy through steam so i dont need many accounts

will i be able to get the beta super thrill pack through steam or is this price only this low now?

I am unable to confirm how Planet Coaster will be priced through Steam, but I know that the above offer is only available until 25 August. Hope this helps your decision [happy]

So I purchase the £19.99 edition before 25 August and get the Thrillseeker package thrown in? And that includes Beta access and bunch of other goodies? WOOOO Yes please!

Purchasing two copies as we speak (well, I type); one for me the other for the wifelet :)

My apologies if this hasn't been asked, but when will the Steam Store page go live? I'd love to be able to subscribe to it asap.
Also, will there be Steam badges along with the game? And Achievements (not important for a game like this, but I like to display something to show my love for the game!)

Nothing has been confirmed yet on badges and achievements. As for the Steam store page, that may be on Tuesday 23 August because that is the day that Alpha 3 is planned to go live. It has already been advised that Steam will be required to play Alpha 3. [happy]

Hi, Im new here.. I'm a bit late to the game. I really want to buy the early bird alpha game but since its moving to Steam, would it be better to wait until the 23rd to purchase it from Steam? Sorry if this is an obvious question.

Thanks for your time

Oh, heck no. I hope Alpha 3 ends somewhere in mid-to-late September, because I'm not waiting THAT long of a time just to play the beta. And before I get hate on this because people think I'm not considering buying the early bird edition. I would buy it if I could, but my financial situation prevents me from buying it now. So, hopefully Alpha 3 is faster, maybe it will because Frontier caught most of the bugs with your help. I do have enough in my wallet to buy the Thrillseeker edition, but I do not want to wait for alpha 3 to end. So, hopefully some other person reads this and shares my disdain for the fact that I cannot play the game without waiting a significant amount of time.

There is no confirmation that the Early Bird edition will be on Steam at all... and it is only available until 25 August on Frontier own store page https://www.frontierstore.net/

I would hate for you to miss out... [happy]

Its better to be safe than sorry. I would buy it from the Frontier store at least in time you will be given a Steam key to add to your account on there!

If you intend on purchasing the Standard edition before 25 August, you will also receive all of the Thrillseeker goodies when they are released, and access to the Beta when it arrives... [happy]

Just to make sure, by "standard edition" you mean the one that's just titled "Planet coaster" priced at £19.99 on the store, right?

Yes, this is the one stuk71 was referring to. The £19.99/€26.99/$29.99 pre-order will come with all the benefits of the soon to be released "Thrillseeker Edition" so you'll save £10/€11/$15 by buying before August 25th.

Hi all,

Got an email regarding the game yesterday, was just wondering which date is correct for Alpha3 23 or 27??

Play Alpha 3 next week

The next Alpha build is nearly here and with it comes a whole host of sweet new features!

Water and desert terrains, all-new rides and the ability to share your blueprints with full Steam integration are just a few of the cool features you'll have access to from August 27.

Thanks
