Id really like to see some more meaningful mission types.
My thought is that it would be like an attack run on a ground settlement, Outpost or megaship.
You'd pick up a mission to "Help reduce defenses on X, Y or Z. To clear the way for a Federal/Imperial assault"
(Look at the intro video playing on the elite website, this is what needs to be implemented.)
The missions type would involve destroying turrets, power generators or a combo of the 2 while avoiding/tanking ground fire depending on ship type.
IMO this was part of the fun with blasting skimmers from the ships, I feel like all of the mechanics are already in game for something like this and could executed quite easily with already in game assets.
Im sure this has been mentioned but I thought Id say something.
The rewards could be larger than the base skimmer type
