My Block list is longer than yours.

Not saying it's a good mechanic. Just curious to see if anyone has mine beat.

My blocklist is empty, I've never used it and to my knowledge I have only been blocked by one player (a sore loser in a BGS rivalry).

I have been popped a few times, and met & survived hostile encounters lots of times, but what I do is send a friend request & have a chat with them. Sometimes I make a friend or at least a useful contact, sometimes I learn something (more often I already know what I did wrong & it was just a silly mistake on my part falling into a trap).

But most importantly it means I can see when they log in, where they are & it gives me a kind of heatmap of Cmdr activity. If I see someone nearby or heading my way I can choose to avoid them if I want to, and most importantly I can see where they are (PvP players often tend to clump together).

I can always unfriend someone if I don't want them to know where I am.

I can't 💯 this enough...

Looks like I'm still in the lead.

Interesting that zeros decided to post. I guess that's some sort of flex.

I've actually never had a problem being instanced with people. It is often the case that commanders I have blocked show up in my instance, so the mechanic is definitely not perfect.

My block list is infinite. I play in solo.
My block list is infinite. I uninstalled.

But back when I was still playing, I zeroed out my block list because everyone in it "uninstalled", as in they haven't been seen in months. Same went for most folk in my friends list. I put "uninstalled" in air quotes because I stayed with Legacy to the end, so it's plausible that most of the notorious gankers in my original blocklist just switched over to Odyssey.

Even back when I was actively using block as a feature in a very "alive" game, my list really wasn't that big. I played in Open to encounter people, otherwise I'd have just played in Solo like you do and save myself the "hassle" of a blocklist (thankfully Frontier made it surprisingly easy to use). Moreover, at least some of the people in that list played in Solo themselves, and I blocked them not because of their actions, but because of the rubbish they kept spamming system chat with during CGs.

Imagine having had your fee fee's hurt 165 times. :ROFLMAO:
You took the bait.

I have not been ganked 165 times.

Pop into a system, scan all the ships. FSDI, Gromboms, Wanted, + Burst builds, - insta block. Leave a station, scan all the ships inside looking for the same gear - insta block. See the system chat with Commanders touting their gank prowess, insta block. At a CG or exploration site with the same features - insta block.

I never block anyone at a CZ though. That's fair spot pvp imo.

Just using the game mechanics as designed. Hope that doesn't hurt your fee fees.

Didn't you have the Reverse Ironman Blocklist policy?

I know what you mean, I block anyone I see with a DSS or a vehicle bay, especially if it looks like a jump focused build. Anyone going on about Raxxla in the system chat? Insta-block.

Unless I'm in Colonia, that's a fair exploration spot imo.

Just using the game mechanics as designed to make sure I don't get stuck in the boring instance.
