Orbiting my first Earth Like - Just 150 jumps from Colonia now ( ~5250 ly )
I've done the sightseeing bit now. I've decided against Beagle Point.
Don't forget to just stop sometimes and just listen to the stars. Also have found a sprig of sage helps with the Spacepixies I think they don't like the smell.
o7 and welcome CMDR.
May I suggest a small detour first to Hutton Orbital station in Alpha Centauri so you can get your free Anaconda?
Edit: Darn it, must remember to read full thread first![]()
Funny you should mention that as I came across this YouTube content creator. Seems thematically suitable when out in the black.Don't forget to just stop sometimes and just listen to the stars. Also have found a sprig of sage helps with the Spacepixies I think they don't like the smell.
Nice job ! Just shows, you don't need the SRV !A quick postlet. I'll try and pop something in here once a week or so. Todays post is some prospecting that I recorded.
Answers to questions that might crop up:
I fitted a pulse laser at Explorer's Anchorage just in case I find a guardian site and need to take down drones. It cost me 2 LY jump range but where I am this is of no consequence. I will remove it before I begin the journey back to Colonia when I'm done exploring.
Yes I was clumsy and dented the hull in this video.
No, this is not good for your cargo scoop. I was just having a bit of fun and demonstrating what I meant when I said surface prospecting was possible without an SRV.
For base materials Asteroids are by far the safest option though you can certainly get rares from them too. I'm slowly building a spreadsheet of what drops from what type of asteroid with frequencies.
Apologies for the low quality. I'm playing on a very old machine, in Linux with the overhead of Wine ( though it's more than playable ) and running OBS and Discord at the same time ( Discord is a resource hog ).
You're kidding right?
You did all of this, flying to Colonia, Sag-A as well as capturing and posting the videos, all on an old machine, in Linux under Wine?
That's amazing. More amazing than the trip in a Sidewinder itself, which was awesome.
o7....
