My "ship" (asset) is currently worth 35,715 credits. 5% of that is 179 credits. I'm keeping a minimum of 10% (currently 358 credits) at all times.
Even if you have only one ship !

1. the coordinate values
and
2. the information about your closeness to COLONIA ?

No, this is wrong. Your rebuy is 35,715. Your ship is worth about 741,000. How much credits do you have?

When entering a station you are about to enter the "letter box" when a scan starts, if there is a scan at all. A heat sink will work there.
The total value of your Hauler including all fitted modules according to Inara is a bit over 734,000 credits. 5% of that value is your rebuy price. You need approximately 3 x 38,000 credits to cover 3 rebuys.
The information on coordinates will be useful when I arrive in the area where I want to hunt for Earth like World's and any interesting sights to see. I will use the coordinates to mark out a cube and attempt to visit every A an F class star in the cube. A and F class stars are more likely to have Earth like World's. I'll also be looking out for anything else that looks interesting. Then I'll move on to a new box.
Were any of the above details I've provided in the Galaxy Map:

2. Any value to you (new and old details) YES/NO
3. Did you know it was X : Z :Y and not X : Y : Z YES/NO

That's the rebuy cost. It is 5% of your ship's worth. It's already calculated it for you.
Ok. If I were you I'd want to build that up a bit. Do some easy courier missions or whatever, up to you.

Why ?
My 10% target (ie. 75,000 credit) which is < my current 95,000, should be ample.
I just prefer 3 rebuys. You can go with 2 if you feel safe with that.

Yes. I'm a cautious fellow, and having to go back to the starter sidewinder is something I wish to avoid at all costs. If I have just 2 rebuys, then if I lose my ship once, I have only 1 rebuy left. That's too close for comfort (for me). You may feel differently, which is fine
Early in the game I had no feel for how often I might lose a ship, so I kept enough credits for 2 to 3 rebuys. With the benefit of hindsight, credits for 2 rebuys is enough, especially considering that you don't engage in higher risk activities such as combat.
