I am not a good PVP pilot, and am not good with numbers...but I do have a protocall in place if I ever encounter an alien vessel
1: DO NOT APPROACH CLOSER THAN NECESSARY
2: Observe any intimidate reactions, if none are hostile, proceed to step 3
3: Disable my weapons as a sign of good will. if the ship is unable to detect such an action, at least I won't accidentally open fire
4: Observe any reactions
5: if the ship seems threatening, disable shields as a sign of trust
6: Observe any reactions
7: if the creature can somehow communicate though comm's, Be 100% honest even at the risk of my own life
8: Have fun. Its a serious moment yes...but 'breaking the ice' is vital to positive impressions too me
Anyway, I am not good at the whole science thing, but I Can do screenshots and possibly video if I can set up...I am also happy to help other Cmdr's who want to try and experiment...though, I wonder if its wise to do so without their consent, they may feel we are being obtuse. I can also attempt first contact myself...as you see, I have a protocol in place for myself if said thing happens...but would be nice to have a friend with me to do it
