Maybe a bit late for you but if all you want is the tissue samples, then

- engineer a DBX to run super cool (mine runs at 13%; around 20% should do you)
- when you drop into the threats, get ready to low wake out if there are scouts there
- if it's just you and the 'goid then slowly back away when it comes looking for you
- when it realises there's nothing to see, target it (no need for the experimental scanner) and fire your research limpet
- stay within 5km or the limpet will fail
- sometimes the limpet fails anyway (thank RNGeesus)

I really have no interest in fighting them or even collecting from them (at the moment at least)
But I'm going to try this just to check them out up close. ...though i suppose not too close.
