Need help with PP2

Regarding Kumo burgers, are they really that good? I heard the taste varies from person to person.
Even at this embryonic stage of your Kumo career you get it.

Bravo sir!

I assume by the most fun module you mean the Cytoscrambler?

And by the most fun bonus, you mean the 100% reduction of all bounties you earn in his space? If that's so, could you elaborate on that. Does that full reduction totally negate the bounties even being applied (that part seems obvious) AND the associated notoriety? That still tempts me.

For now, I'm sticking with LYR because I'm at rank 148 (or near that) and I still want to take advantage of the exploration bonus. But oh, being able to hammer non-anarchy factions is so tempting...
At Maximum Kumo™ bounties are zero when you exit the scene of the crime. And from what I remember @Rebel Yell saying notoriety is nullified too.

Final question. CNB combat being my favorite, does pledging to a PP influence/change the NPC ship spawn RNG at any given CNB? Getting sick of the same old Viper, Eagle, DBX and Clipper waves.

Not AFAICS. I didn't see any marked "enemy". You do get one or two enemy miners to blow up in a haz RES in addition to all the pirates. They give a nice bonus to your merits.

That's what I thought. I'll just hit up some RES sites for variety. o7

The problem with Li Yung Rui is that he is the greedy CEO of the megacorp Sirius Corporation.
The problem with Archon Delaine is that he is a criminal & bloodthirsty pirate.
The problem with Aisling Duval (and her family) is the fact that their hereditary monarchy exploits slavery.

I believe in equality, and that supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives...
The Federation is the only way o7

Oh wow, that is tempting...

I'm assuming you still have to deal with the issues of gaining bounties in systems outside Kumo territory (PP tasks sometimes require this) and then having to deal with that bounty and notoriety back in Kumo territory if the local faction harmed is in both areas. This is my number one issue when doing stuff for LYR right now... I have to raid settlements for data/goods for LYR, sometimes those settlements are the same local faction as the head faction of the station I need to do the turn-in at, and then I have to wait for the notoriety to cool off and pay off the bounty to clear the issue.

I do enjoy working for LYR - the perks are nice and I decided to switch to him from ALD (6 years in PP 1.0) so I could work on a new bubble of influence. However, I'm starting to doubt how much I'll use the exploration bonus and thinking I need to switch back to a more combat focused power. The repair/refuel/rearm for free is fun thought not that necessary. The stronghold carriers having a 15% discount is the biggest perk. :)

Yes, you are correct about #1 and #2.
Aisling specifically outlaws slavery, so while you can oppose the rest of the imperial powers on these grounds, that doesn't track for her (I'm not a fan of her, btw)

If you "believe in equality, and that supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives..." then you should be supporting one of the Alliance factions. All the in game lore shows that the Federation is beholden to corporate interests (there are more to worry about than Sirius), where as the alliance is the real democracy (and has all the associate mess to go with it). But hey, pledge to whomever you want. :)

The Alliance aren't bad I suppose...but they are weak. They often struggle to come to an agreement on anything.
I just believe that the representative democracy of the Federation is a better system than the parliamentary democracy of the Alliance.

Unfortunately, Aisling Duval has said this;
"Unchain has run similar operations to give illegal slaves their freedom, but licensed Imperial slaves require more care. The manumission process must be managed legally by a registered organisation, and each individual's wellbeing ensured. You cannot simply set huge numbers of people loose as if they were zoo animals being released into the wild. My dream is that one day the Empire will abolish the indentured servitude system, and that every form of slavery will end. But until then, all emancipation efforts must operate within the law."
She talks the talk - but I cannot support her until it stops being talk, and Imperial law is fully changed.

This has yet to happen to me so I'm curious - do they declare themselves with a message as they attack?
The only time I've been attacked by an opposing power PC is once I had several bounties for blowing up their ships. Overall, they aren't very aggressive.

Also, I don't know if this change was made with Ascendency or not, but when you drop down from super cruise in a system, it now almost always has one or more groups drop down near you. Sometimes local faction NPCs, or Security forces, or Friendly and/or Enemy PP ships. I've lost track of the number of times I've dropped down for my own reasons and juicy enemy Type 9 freighter and 2 escorts drop downed as well. They didn't approach me, they just dropped into my space with me. I quickly dispatched them and claimed the easy merits, obviously. :)

I don't recall if the one or two times I was attacked if they said anything before hand. It's rare, they usually aren't much of threat (even to a small ship) and either ignored them or blew them up depending on where I was and whether I wanted any crimes against me or not.

Also, please note, killing enemy PP ships will only get you a bounty on yourself when outside your power's territory. And even then, you NEVER get notoriety, just the bounty (which is easy to pay off). I only abstain from blowing up these NPCs when their bounty might complicate matters for me (e.g. I need to dock at the station in the system they attacked me and I already have notoriety and can't easily dismiss the bounty).

Your average NPC "What have you got in your cargo hold?" is far more dangerous than most of these PP NPCs with itchy trigger fingers... at least, in my experience.

That's fair. I only called into question your Federation stance because you singled LYR out for being a mega corporation affiliate. Sirius Corp, Achilles, Core Dynamics, and many other corporations are the ones running the Federation, with the elected officials doing their behest.

My only PP enemies (that I actively enjoy blow up) are Jerome Archer, Yuri Grom, and Pranav Antal. I tend to leave everyone else alone... unless their npcs are in my territory and easy merits.

Yes, I've noticed that too. Having been away for something over 18 months until a few weeks back, I wasn't sure if I was simply mis-remembering how things used to work.
I have recently pledged to YG but I think it also happened in the weeks before I did so.

I will generally interdict any enemy pledged Cmdr in my power's territory...but I take the most pleasure in destroying Empire pledged Cmdrs 😂

Although, just a couple of days ago, I interdicted a low(ish) ranked Cmdr in an Anaconda who was pledged to Arissa Lavigny-Duval - I took out their FSD and drive when they agreed to leave the system...so I took pity on them, and allowed them to reboot and leave (I made a new friend too!)
...I'm too soft 😄

PP ships attack me every time I try to land on my fleet carrier. They don't become wanted, so I can't shoot back. If I do, my own FC blows me up in seconds. They're not a problem while I'm mining in my very strong Cutter, but I'd have no chance in a Type 6 that I want to use to make some videos. Once they land fire on you, you can't engage the docking computer, and, mysteriously, the ship seems to become impossible to land. Eventually, the FC's security deals with them, after which the mysterious landing problems disappear.

Is your fleet carrier in an enemy system? Mine has always been (since PP 2.0) a friendly system, so I haven't seen this behavior. I'll make note of it.

Also, might want to replace the Type 6 with a Type 8 - same landing pad size, more cargo, SCO optimized, and FAST. :)

Yes, because I'm away from home doing a bit of mining. The video would be for beginners, who don't have access to anything bigger. No engineering either, so it would blow up very quick with nowhere to hide.
