All 3 really great choices due to popularity alone, and they all fit the theme quite well too.Capybara - 262
Platypus - 131
Asian small-clawed otter - 107
Not requested, like at all really, but from a theming stand point making a lot of sense. Actually hard to pick a lot of things that are better replacements when it comes to that, they spend so much time around wetlands and water.Water buffalo - 3
Nile lechwe - 1
Freaking amazing. Finally, a new bird that isn't a ratite or a penguin!Red crowned crane - 29
Pretty bad choice. Almost no one wanted another crocodilian at all, and not this one. Really the Nile crocodile could've fit this theme and probably would've made more people happier. I personally would've liked another bird, like a spoonbill or pelican. But it isn't the end of the world. It's another South American animal so I'm sure it'll see use.Spectacled caiman...0
Ha, I was literally about to make this exact post. Except I was going to say "queen".Long live the new king!

I feel bad for all the work @random goat will have to do for that.Well considering over two thirds of the forum voted for Capybara, I wonder how we're going to proceed. One additional vote maybe?
Yep, by the definition of tropical being from the tropics.

Tropical by definition can mean two things. Either implies something is from the tropics or if something is from a region with a tropical climate.Yes, that’s what tropical means IRL, but in-game it represents tropical (and subtropical) rainforest. ‘Grassland’ represents tropical grassland more than ‘tropical’ does.
edit: @coatifan got there first.
None of those animals fit into the theme of this pack, except for perhaps the red river hog. But honestly those fit just as well in a tropical pack. Why that species? Who asked for it? And what about Red River Hogs, Fossa, African Gray Crane, Secretary Birds, Baboon, African Leopard, Kudu, Addax, Oryx, Jackal, Aardwolf, Honey Badger, Black Rhinoceros? What about the DOZENS of more popular species, the community has been asking for? Why were they ignored for an African antelope species NOBODY on this forum, or any forum has ever asked for...it baffles the mind.
That felt like, actively ignoring what people want. Like how dare the community have an opinion. PZ will tell us what's best.
I agree. But that's why I suggested one. While I did get the Platypus and Asian Small Clawed Otter correct in my prediction. I only voted for CapysI feel bad for all the work @random goat will have to do for that.
