New Planet Tech is KILLER of Exploration (all terrain is tiling/repeating/not procedural/random)

That's for the cultural difference :ROFLMAO:
So in the german version he takes the kids because he is a catcher and they didn't pay him, in the english he's just that dude singing Safety Dance and didn't get paid :D
Well, he still takes the kids for not being paid for getting rid of the rats. The only real difference, is instead of being "The Rat Catcher of..." he's "The Pied Piper...", because of his unusual clothing and use of a pipe (flute) to catch rats.

You also said the use of DOF tells you that it was post processed because DOF is definitely not anywhere in ED, and yet there it is, right in the in game camera suite!

Sadly not, still runs like trash on my Ryzen 7 2700X and my RTX 2060 in 1080p.

If anything, some things got worse. Remember how it says they lowered gamma on planets? Well yes, they are lowered. Instead I saw a glow-in-the-dark xmas tree in the agro station, the lighting was completely borked on the hydroponics.
Hi, please check the post in this other thread (you might have seen it already). Not the entire thread, just the post for this link:

Is this related to the issues you're referencing?

From my experience it's not the atmosphere. It's almost like some planets use an entirely different generation system.
Ever since Tuesday’s hotfix 3, most of the planets I’ve visited have looked absolutely breathtaking on foot or in the SRV, the majority of them airless worlds.

However, I’ve noticed that at certain distances while in the ship, some planets still have some major LOD issues, where you can clearly see patchwork texture squares and low-poly heightmaps. The issue seems to go away once you get out on foot, but just getting back into the cockpit can bring the LOD back down dramatically.

The weird thing is It doesn’t happen consistently for every planet. Some seem to be totally unaffected by it and look great at any distance. But when it does happen it’s very jarring and obvious.

Regardless, I’m loving planetary exploration post-hotfix 3, and it won’t be long before I need a new hard drive to store all my sceenshots. 😉

The Patch, even though said nothing about fixing planets, had changed planets significantly for me.
The dark grey is gone as a whole.

Planet textures though look very pixelated, especially from a distance (ultra or low, doest not matter here) I'll share some screenshots when I can
