New Planet Tech is KILLER of Exploration (all terrain is tiling/repeating/not procedural/random)

Just a moment been at Synuefe VM-D C15-10 2 A lot of you for sure been there... and and and... FD what have you done :( downgrade exploration, broke everything. I've seen more planets with cool canyons in Horizons and now most of them are flat as mine backyard,,,,

Are you telling me that Odyseey is broken? lol

Seriously, though. I'm curious. I didn't buy Odyssey, and I won't until things are fixed. I just want to know if atmospheres change the flight model at all. Also, if it changes the way the SRV drives. Or, is it exactly the same with a colored sky box?

Why is there no plasma trail on atmospheric entry? Also, is the flight model the same in atmosphere?
Probably yes, but this is a nuance compared to the question:
Why is freefalling with no thrusters on non atmospheric planet not a constantly accelerated motion?
What magic prevents ships from accelerating until they crash?
In both EDH and EDO.

We agree that we all know perfectly well that all landable planets are zero or very low atmospheres, right?

No atmosphere should = no terminal velocity. That's their point.

Elite isn't realistic. I don't expect it to be. I was just asking a question. I would hope for atmospheres to at least change the flight model.

Yep.
It's just a game...
With a very bizarre physics from the start.

What actually was a necessity, otherwise ships with better thrust/mass ratio would have absolute advantage.

I would never expect FD to add air resistance to this already bizarre flight/physics model, there is no possibility for this attempt to end well...

What do you think is with unassisted flight?

Hardly any difference, ships are still magically slowing down in vacuum after they reach some hardcoded maximal speed.

With FA ON/FF and
in freefall on a planet with no atmo = no air resistance, with thrusters turned off,
what is a "cherry on the top" if someone tries to apply real life rules to game world.

Same flight model. Not noticed any difference in the SRV either.
In my country we have a saying "If you can't do it better, don't criticize."
What wondrous country is this that has no critics, how do you know what films to watch, what plays to see, what music to listen to, what books to read?
