In the Galaxy map select the destination system and then click the plot route icon, if there is a possible route for your ship it will display on the map and the number of jumps will display at the bottom of the map, if any of the route is a dotted line you will need to take on fuel before then. The route will take about a minute per jump.I want to plot a course to a new system which is 21.86 Ly away and the actual station is 206 Ls distance.
Always plot the route after filling the fuel tank, adding cargo or changing modules as the mass of your ship changing would invalidate the route.
Supercruise is a use of the Frame Shift Drive to travel quickly about a star system as long as you don’t have another star system targeted you can engage supercruise using the same binding as for a jump, you can have a separate binding for it as well. But I've watched a number of videos telling me about Supercruise and Supercruise Assist which I have not used so far in the game, only had to use Frame Shift Drive.
From what I understand I need to use Supercruise and Assist to get to the eventual destination of what my plotted course will be.
I'm quite confused as to actual use Supercruise and Assist. I could use quite a bit of clarification on how to use it.
Supercruise assist is a sort of auto throttle/cruise control it can be useful but is not essential and is usually slower.
I'm using voice commands with HCS Voice Packs and Voice Attack. So I don't know if that will confuse things even more.
I would be obliged for any help in explaining how to use it.
