PvP New players getting out of pilots federation permit space

I shall read the post about surviving the gank, but I feel that that will not apply to new players coming in.
Until then, solo or private group thanks.
Block anyone who murders you in cold blood for no reason, anarchy systems notwithstanding (there anything goes). In the griefer's reality, they killed you - dead is dead and you are gone. In your reality, the system's security forces locked up the serial killer / terrorist for a long, long time. Yes, you'll have to eat a few rebuys (I think it's fair to let everyone kill you just once), but eventually the ratio of psychotic clowns to civilized pilots will adjust itself to a much more natural and realistic (and enjoyable) environment.

I've been practicing this method for awhile. It works!

pvp players don't care if they drive people from the game. They generally can't think on long time lines. The game will be empty and then they will leave to ruin another game. Yes, private group/solo is best.

If there are people who care about million credits so much when they have billions, anything from PVP players will drive them away. And we are not talking as there's no way to defend that million credits. Just they don't want to play it the PVP way.

The only time I particularly care about PvPers is if I've got my npc pilot with me so I won't even care about that after the next update, the biggest loss will be the fast-travel back to wherever I last docked which is an inconvenience but the most I'm liable to lose is like a half-hour's work or so

I can see it being an issue for explorers losing weeks or months worth of effort though

I know many people don't like losing, but losing the game is also playing the game.
I still think a better way is to have PVPers busy fighting each other while protecting PVErs on their sides, but FDev didn't seem like changing a thing for PVP activities for years, which is also true regarding explorers losing their progress.

Rule 10 from the /tg/station SS13 server seems to apply, to this and so many other games - especially sandboxes with other players:
Losing is part of the game.
Your character will frequently die, sometimes without even a possibility of avoiding it. Events will often be out of your control. No matter how good or prepared you are, sometimes you just lose.

Oh look: the usual crowd descending upon a newbie, spinning tall tales of gankers around every corner.

Been playing 'bout two and half years now and only been 'ganked' once, and even then I could have highwaked if I wanted to. I hadnt been shot at in a while and reckoned the inevitable rebuy was worth a bit of quick pew pew action. It was actually super quick cause I was half asleep and didnt noticed I'd flicked on silent running (I thought I'd been reverb torped when the shields dropped).

This one gets it.

So my question remains; What should I look to gain from shooting another player, I never gain anything from that. I feel a bit stupid to ask this. For there is no loot, no extra perk for it infact beeing a player, what?

I fight other players in equal or better engineered ships when I want a challenge and a bit of adrenaline. When I target players in non-PVP ships there is always a role playing reason. When when RPing a bad guy I stick to a persona and a code.

I've even recently targeted newer players. It's better they learn how to work the comms, reboot repair drives and get some practice recognizing ships with ill intent and avoid interdictions with a soft touch like me than a true seal clubber.

If a Thargoid Collborator opens comms "Hail our Xeno betters! Pledge you shall do no harm to Thargoids and live." Answer comms and you'll learn we aren't alone in the galaxy.

If a grizzled pirate opens comms "Avast ye son of a biscuit eater! Weigh anchor and drop yer finest booty or face me cannons!" Answer comms and you'll learn that not everyone in galaxy is cutthroat or a ganker.

Even when they cut bait and run there are learning opportunities like don't low wake and certainly don't low wake and maintain the same course with your rear still exposed.

Everyone does PVP for different reasons. Mine are to have fun, seek challenges or create shared stories.

One mute point is that pvpers ain't being confused with those pesky npc clowns who jump you wen u got missions on. Now if u did die versus one of them....best you hang up your goggles and stick to office work lol

Simple fact is there is people that play game this game like its gta online and think the only point of the game is to kill anybody and everybody they immediately see. Those newer players are no risk no reward targets, and if you ask me it sounds extremely boring just to hunt newer player.

PvP is here to stay. No matter what game you play you either become one..hehe.. or you hunt them. Assuming you've mined 20 bill have a stable of ships n modded mods. But for the beginner like me you just roll with it. From getting jumped by npc pirates to lethal pvpers.. part of the galaxy's laws is chaos.
I too was absolutely terrified heart beating like a jack hammer when my small 64 ton operation painite express got interdicted...twice. lost 2 loads !!
But I Googled utube watched and posted on this forum asking questions and got answers. Speed.. boost at right time. Play solo when loaded hehe. And once u bagged 300 mill or so rechock your chariot for combat and go into a easy res site and LEARN to fight. Go harder and harder till your on cz's. That's what I'm doing. Reckon I'll soon be able to swing round n waste that pirate. It's all about evasion as a noob and then learning and fighting back.

This is a silly workaround. Being completely inexperienced in dealing with hostile CMDRs is far more of an issue than the ship one is flying, and you can't gain experience in dealing with hostile CMDRs by avoiding Open.

Well stock beginner ship even if one is pretty good pilot has very very poor chances against dedicated killing machine. Especially if other guy can fly somewhat competently They'll just one or two-shot that, and thats it. Not much experience gainable. Match is like: interdicted, blam blam, rebuy screen. Untill one has something that has some physical staying power, and enough money to spend on rebuys, there is very little experience that one can get.

So go to solo, or PG. And you can always choose what mode you are using. For example I run risk management strategy, when I'm doing something that I absolutely do not care somebody ruining, I go for solo, like coming back from long exploration trip. If I'm doing something that I moderately tolerate possibility of somebody ruining, I go for Mobius (there is still risk there, as it is possible that somebodies do not care about PG's rules...), if I do not care about being possibly attacked, then its open. But to each according their tastes.

Play solo till you get a decent ship. As for pirates, speed..just use engineer mods to boost speed hehe. 400m/s or more is adequate to leave em behind. Works almost 100 percent of the time. Assuming ones failed the mini game.

And also friendly warning, start-up engineering systems are also ganker hotspots, so while they are preaching about their git gud stuff, they are actually actively trying to hinder you in that regard too. Best way to deal with them is to deny them their fun. In solo you are ungankable.

I always take my open builds to Deciat as the last stop to put experimentals on the last few modules like the powerplant, shield boosters and FSD.

Why?

Because I want to see if they're gankproof.

I love your signature. How many names do you have on your block list?
