What system are you currently on? Or in which system can I see one of them?
Two months ago, after a 45-minute supercruise, I managed to catch them on the 2nd Stargoid. Can I still see it with the same method?
Not here. But there's some in-game system chat about doing so at UIA1...
I am in Synuefe YK-W c18-1, which is the current target for #1. It's 299 ly from Sol.
UIA #1 is also not targetable from it's source system, which is 21.48 ly away. It will be interesting at which distance the RSS becomes a targetable POI.

i'm currently in Synuefe HG-O b26-0, looking the eight UIA and i can't target it as a USS.

Sort of. Someone mentioned that the swarms launched by Thargoid vessels often use a formation that strongly resembles the look of the Stargoids. So my guess would be that each of the "arms" of these things consistes of thousands of vessels, ranking from Scouts in the tips over Interceptors and the likes to megaships, fleet carriers and something even bigger, like a space station where even megaships can dock, in the center.
I know, my imagination shifted into savage mode...
After the bubble is attacked, the first Galnet article better be titled, "The Trouble with Wibbles"
I didn't have any better luck on a similar attempt. Got within 179k ls but then it just pulled away fast. Uploaded the failed effort to YouTube just now. Probably still grainy until the HD version is done processing.
I tried to drop on it, but I had no SCA and didn't get close enough.
