New Ships 2024

Out of the four ships coming out in 2024, per Frontier posting. We have the Python m2 and Type-8 release dates. Do we know what the other two ships will be this year? I may have missed the next announcement after the Type-8. Does anyone know?

Outside of FDev not yet.

The Python mk2 goes on full release next week and the T8 goes into pre release at the same time so I would expect them to start teasing about the third ship at the next live stream.

Hi All :)

Are the two outstanding ships going to be variants of existing ships?
I've mentioned this in another topic I think. I'd class the T8 as a completely new ship (other people may disagree of course )...so I'm hopeful that the next two will be something along those lines.
Jack :)

I still hope one of those ships is something truly unique, such as the Panther Clipper but it's too big to dock at stations - and perhaps even land on planets - but it uses little short-range shuttles to trade with stations. How does it upgrade though...I'll let FDev surprise us with that new feature lol.

What I expect we'll get is more of the same, perhaps another Mk II variant as Rat Catcher suggests, as well as another new ship - I'd like to see a classic Elite ship introduced, there are a few that are still missing. I like that there are new ships incoming, but they're not really adding anything truly new to the game. Ok, so they'll likely all work better with the SCO FSD, but that's it. That's why I'd like a ship with unique (initially, make more!) features such as those I've made up for the mythical Panther Clipper.

Probably the Cobra Mk V and possibly a new large ship (Anaconda Mk II with a hull not made of magic?)

"Probably", why do you think so? I hope for Boa - bigger, better Anaconda version :D

Arthur teased on X a Star Trek gif as a hint for the next ship.

It looks like Gutamaya but if... is it mean it will be behind rank-wall? So maybe Kruger??

I really hope for some great explorer, like M-pad from Kruger, something like Dolphin Mk II, but we have some names to use: Narwhal or Omura
And a big ship to detronize all-might Anaconda - Anaconda Mk II or Boa (it exists in the lore) with small landing pad to take friend with you, or to explore planets without landing. You can take Sidewinder with you, jump with Boa and land on planets in small ship and then explore on foot :) Or at least possibility to deploy SRV without landing :)
And Boa can come with interiors at the end of the year and next year more biology to scan :D :D :D
..wake up, wake up :)

A prebuild Cobra MkIV available for ARX would be nice. Still want to use that ship for the internals in a small.
Cobra Mk V is more likely, for FDev has stated that the Cobra Mk IV was only available if you upgraded to Horizons during the game's first year. If you didn't do that back in 2015, you're not getting it, and they have stuck to that promise.

I was thinking that Gutamaya and Zorgo Peterson should probably expand their ship line with an additional one each. It would be cool if Zorgo launched a large freighter similar to the Hauler, but since the Panther Clipper LX is a thing and it looks amazing, one of them is probably going to be that.

The other one is probably going to be a small Zorgon Peterson. A mini Mamba to compete with the Imperial Courier and the Vulture would be very exciting, and to my surprise "Mamba Light" was actually datamined from Odyssey Alpha's files. As an alternative we could be seeing Hauler's big brother, able to fit in a small landing pad and with a cargo capacity similar to the Keelback and the Cobra Mk IV, but lighter in hardpoints.

This caught my attention:
" ... the Panther Clipper LX is a thing ... "
Does this mean its been discussed lately as being a possibility ?
Is this still the current design or has it morphed ?
Have a nice day

Oh, by it being "a thing" I mean what you see in that link. It also appeared on Odyssey Alpha's game files, as per the references linked before the comment section. But I don't think we've heard anything about it since then...

Still hoping for an improved Federal <Drop/Assault/Gun> Ship variant - alongside an equivalent Imperial Medium - that can both stand toe-to-toe with the FDLs, Mambas and Python MkIIs of the galaxy: more weapons, 6 utilities, etc.

But I suspect I’m SOL on that front …

Imperial and Federation ships can't be. Since they need a rank to unlock, they can't be sold for ARXs.

FD: Hold my beer.

Its possible to add imp or fed ships that don't require a rank unlock.

Core Dynamics made the Fed locked ships but also a number of other ships as well.

I think it is possible. Just use Arissa Lvigry-Duval's tendency towards peace with the Federation. I think they can even create ship cooperation between gutamaya and core dynamics :D
