Give me pretty much any backwater in the bubble and I'll scout out some good potential spots and be able to work out what needs to be done to flip them (some will need more work than others) but explaining the principles needed to come up with those plans would be a lot of content for people who just want a quick how-to.
The best way to keep it is to not publish it. I discovered three Super Walmart settlements about a year ago. Two are still unchanged because they were never published. The other was discovered by a content creator and published. It was trashed within a couple weeks. That creator did their best to explain how to keep it, just like you did.A new video which is relative to this one, where I discuss keeping our Super Walmart:
Exactly my point. Please stop handing out fish."give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
I understand that, however, do you leave people without a place to farm materials at all in the meantime? The best way to keep it is to not publish it. Those who hear about these sites will go there until it's no longer viable, then move on. The farmers just farm, with no interest in combat. Those who combat them have no interest in farming.
I appreciate your videos on these sites, as I learned how to find my own sites by watching them. Unfortunately, such videos are only useful in the short term. Make a video showing people how to find their own, and you'll be helping for the long term.

I get the analogy but it doesn't really fit here. The materials don't run out, they are literally infinite. So CMDRs can 'fish' as much as they like, they are never going to run out.Continuing the fishing analogy, you can use a hook and bait or a trawl net, but too much fishing means no fish. Then the trawlers complain that their fishing place is now useless and simply move on, not really considering that they are the one that caused the problem.
Ideally, fish farms should be created and nurtured to allow sustainable fishing, but those that want to max out their loot haul are not interested, as many would state that they have limited game time to play and need to grab the mostest in the shortest possible time, with the least effort.
Keeping quiet the location an farms is essential to preserve them
Steve
Not quite... but close enough. As long as the faction keeps winning any wars they are in there is no way they can lose the settlement.
Yes, let people learn to think for themselves - it isn't hard to look around and find useful places for looting - provided one doesn't care about notoriety & bounties there are many, many, more Lawful settlements to plunder if there isn't the coward's choice anarchy locally.however, do you leave people without a place to farm materials at all in the meantime?
Ok so I farmed this location just a few times over a couple days then all of a sudden after a reset theres no power and no people...at EVERY Ti Wanjang Drug Empire site. Is it something I did? I cant find any "Restore power" missions. In fact ive NEVER seen one of these missions over the 2-3 weeks ive played, not once. Wondering if its about the systems im in or something. I know ive never seen one and look for them every time, that also includes Hidden Cache missions. If someone could help me with any of these questions id be greatly appreciative
I mean, when I set up Ti Wanjang to be that way with all the settlements flipped to anarchy, I did the same thing to a bunch of settlements in nearby Guanangu. I recently did the same thing in Huaich. These systems aren't unique or uncommon, if it's shut down then just go hit up another one.Ok so I farmed this location just a few times over a couple days then all of a sudden after a reset theres no power and no people...at EVERY Ti Wanjang Drug Empire site. Nice. One thing you left out is that you can win settlements for the anarchists while losing the overall war, by ensuring you fight space battles to counter the victories you give them on the ground. At least 1 space victory for every 2 equal-intensity foot victories, though more is obviously safer. That makes cleanup a lot easier as it'll often dump the anarchists straight below 7%.I wrote a steam guide on it
