Oh totally. A possibility, just saying my gut tells me that isn't it, no actual evidence against itMaybe, maybe not. It's just a theory that I don't necessarily believe in, its just a possibility that I wouldn't dismiss.

New Thargoid variant
Thargoids can jump into a system anywhere in the system, rather than just at a sun. So can capital ships, and now Fleet Carriers will be able to do the same thing - except that in their case, these will be plotted jumps rather than scripted events. It's possible that this new capability has been...forums.frontier.co.uk
Distilling it down to the salient points:
And adding on since it was still spawning regularly before...
- Yellow bumps are (imo) "fixture points" to attach human driver hardware for the Thargoid vessel, and the "face" is a more humanoid cockpit.
- Scouts are chasing it because it's, imo, a human/thargoid hybrid ship design. I'd be trying to blow that up too if someone designed an experimental hybrid based off my, I guess, "own technology"
- I would kill for a picture showing the position of those hearts, especially if they aren't in the normal spot.
- I wouldn't read into the apparent disappearance too much. Sounds like people are still reporting rare encounters with it... Hyperdictions spawned excessively at one point, then FD fixed it so people got hyperdicted intermittently instead of literally every time they tried to jump out a system. I imagine it was meant to only spawn rarely in the first place.
I repeatWe might not even be physically capable of flying a thargoid ship. They have hive minds so the pilot probably has a telepathic link to its vessel or at least some kind of connection like on Avatar. Shoot they might not even have pilots. The ships themselves might be completely autonomous beings in themselves.
What if you got like a little ship launched tharglet? Like a little tiny cyclops that just follows you around pew pew things for you. But you have to feed it.I repeat

I would gladly let the goids probe me, If I could get one of those.I repeat

What is funny is that with frontier, you can't tell if a thing is a bug or a new feature.I find the irony of dismissing this as a bug quite ironic!
Whether the Bug is bugged, the bugged Bug is a feature or the Bug is bugging as intended? What is funny is that with frontier, you can't tell if a thing is a bug or a new feature.
Anyone ever thought maybe Thargoids want our tech so they can "return the favour" and damage our hyperdrives like we did theirs?
YesWhether the Bug is bugged, the bugged Bug is a feature or the Bug is bugging as intended?
The NO stands for Nitrous Oxide .....which is why it's so damn fast. Why is NO written in the target symbol?
