Arch, Ive got to take the time to say, 'Thank You'. Cmdr's log is exactly what ties ED together for me. I am RP'ing my adventures a bit(and spinning it into a story for my own edification) and this tool fits into that plan perfectly. Additionally, the journal section has made it where i can refer to my gaming sessions as a resource from which to pull story ideas. It has gotten at least one of my friends to play the game because we really dig the immersion Cmdr's log adds. It's not just fly to station, trade/turn in, fly to next station. I have come up with somewhat of a process for visiting stations that brings it all together. Great fun!

I DO think this is a good idea and shouldn't be TOO hard.
I used EliteOCR so far, but after I saw someone mentioned RegulatedNoise in this topic I gave it a try and it seems it could do the same job automatically. It can even monitor the screenshot folder and do the OCR automatically which is very nice. If you use EliteOCR give RegulatedNoise a try too! Do not let the "calibration process" frighten you. I guess if you use high resolution (eg full hd) you do not even need to do anything (like me).
Could you make it so stations where all commodities are set to "None" don't show their age in the main window? It's not really relevant since there's nothing to update.

Is there any way you can automate the "arrive" and "depart" buttons? I keep on forgetting to hit them!! Perhaps when the import button is hit and the box closes, that could record the visit?

Note: The pull-downs from a pulldown... having the ability to add the edit field to the pulldown list..
For example, I have the 'Population' pulldown field and I only knew 2 of the sizes, and I typed in a 3rd but noted there is no was to add that to the pulldowns easily. Maybe a 'add edit files to pulldown' button?
