New Version of Cmdr's Log Available!

I'm running it...

Can't see any config within it? How does it know where the ED installation is?

I'm jumping between systems and can't see it updating?

You DO have to enter stations manually an then click arrive at top, when you leave click depart an check logs it is registered then.
Use the OCR to get prices in , it is very well done and smooth.
A lot of rep To ArchV1 and the OCR maker ...

Cheers Cmdrs

As explained... I'm exploring... So not many stations... The more automatic the better as regards keeping track of the system.

Why can't it read the log file the other applications seem to for the current system? Even if there was a button to do that just to prevent you having to type it in manually?

Great tool its does everything i want apart from auto-loading prices from any station i enter, but that is never going to happen.

5 stars to the author and pixie helpers to make it happen.

Sorry it doesn't work this way (currently). You can enter systems by hand and specify 'No Stations' then use the Arrive/Depart buttons but it is all manual.

I say currently, as I'm not sure if Arch is taking bribes in the form of baby stuff/baby sitting credits but you never know ;)

Which ones to that? All I want is something to record where I have been automatically.

It probably could if Arch wrote it in. Why doesn't it already? Remember where this came from... this started out as a basic "doesn't do ANYTHING automatically" log writer, which simply allowed the player to record only as much info, only as often as he felt like doing it. Even now it STILL has no automation - the little that it appears to have actually comes from the info we import from EliteOCR.

Ask Arch for it, see what he says, but remember he's just had a new kid so this app (very rightly) is probably pretty low on his priorities right now.

Just upgraded from 2.0 (I'd been exploring in the interim, so had little use for this) and trying out the OCR feature. It's nifty. Except... sometimes the "import..." button is greyed out. I haven't managed to figure out why or when this is. Any ideas?

Very good app the only issue i have is with custom fields that are not positioned corectly. The cause is in DPI scaling (mine is set to 125%) so unfortunatly cant use them. Overall great app.

I just wanted to say I disagree with your assumptions. Even in todays well connected world we know almost everything going on, including prices :)

Imagine ELites future world. Lots of comms and info sharing and I look at the forums as not a cheat, but the kind of info you would be able to get from open sources in the elite world.

Sorry but this is Elite world, you are my competition, i aint sharing all data with you buddy, i dont want someone coming in and crashing a lucrative trade run

Thats the very world thats been created, and why its not automated sharing, and i like that

Hey guys,

Yeah I'm still alive. The new kid is here! She's happy and healthy. I'm almost done with my two weeks of paternity leave and I'll be going back to work tomorrow. Sadly, Sandmann was right, this tool is pretty low on my priority list for awhile. On the plus side, it seems to be in a pretty stable state where people can use it and not feel too limited. I'm glad it's still alive and kicking and new people seem to be discovering it every day.

Take care all I'll be keeping an eye on the forums :)

Congrats Arch on the new young'un, glad to hear she's fit and well :)

Cmdr's Log is very stable mate, I never leave port without it, thanks again for all your hard work.

Congratulations on the birth of your child! It is an amazing time, no wonder you are not developing much.

I agree, the tool is very stable and, personally, I am very happy with the features.

Congratulations again...

Has any work happened with this feature, I use it, but sometimes as many do I forget to click it.

By the way this is a fantastic tool.

Has anyone created any skins for it?
