No further VR development is both expected and makes sense

I still use racing pedals! I even use them for forward and backwards thrust. And my twin sticks for the other stuff. Great fun! Esp in SRV
Well I still use them, only now they're from Thrustmaster and a part of the T16k HOTAS. I use toe brakes for lateral thrusters in the ship and for gas/brake in the SRV. That being said, this setup didn't see Elite for a long time because it's busy in DCS World (in full VR):

See you under the blue skies!
PS: the new free to play program is cool, you can try the planes for free for two weeks each. If you buy, don't buy from Steam, only from Developer's website - they often have better deals than steam and it helps the dev.

Those of us who play in VR should be given refunds upon request as Elite has been marketed as "made for VR." Our expectation was always that Odyssey would eventually get VR support. For my own part, I purchased under false pretenses.

Frontier is thus far refusing our refund requests. While I was just going to play Horizons, the refusal to refund me on this news about VR has soured me to this game. I've already uninstalled and am probably done for good.

DCS full VR, how is it.
I am looking for a good VR game now Odyssey dropping VR support.
any other good VR’s, wasn’t there a Star Wars something ?
SW: Squadrons. It's pretty nice if you like Star Wars. Has HOTAS support. Buggy, but bearable. Notable VR space games - everspace 1 (sequel postponed VR support a year or two forward), X-Rebirth VR. Especially try motion controller flight in X-Rebirth VR for at least 15 minutes. Don't map the HOTAS. If it clicks, like it clicked with me, the ship feels like it's controlled via neural link ;-)

As for DCS... I've always dreamed of being a fighter pilot, now I can be that without g-strain and having top physical condition. I could now theoretically step into the cockpit of a Hornet, cold start the thing, INS align, take off, navigate to and bomb the target, air to air refuel and land the bird on an aircraft carrier. That is if I wouldn't blackout on take off that is, because in real world there is this pesky g-force still ;-) But in theory dreams, fully doable. And I stream it sometimes, too:

As for other games, may I redirect you to @VR Golgot thread with reviews:

I'm suggesting FDev don't have infinity developers so they concentrate their efforts on the areas which have the most benefit for the biggest number of players
They aren't even doing that. What they're doing is putting in the minimum amount of effort for the maximum financial reward.

Reminder that FD recently expanded, moving to a bigger HQ and hiring more devs. The dev team for this game was already quite large too, so they have plenty of people available to work on it. The issue is they have people's money for Odyssey already, and that's a huge disincentive for them to improve it beyond some basic optimizations that should've been finished a month or two ago, and there's a much bigger incentive to just reallocate resources into a new game/expansion instead. They've been doing this same thing for years and you've been here long enough to know better.

Thanks for update on VR stuff, I have been totally focused on Elite for last 4 years but Frontier is forcing me to me to look around.
you can get mooned only so many times and the VR folks seem to live at the back of the buss, last to get their bugs fixed.
DSS and Free Camera still broke and probably won’t get fixed on next and last update.

ps
I am downloading DCS as I am typing and will check out your other info.
