I am curious and interested in all things BgS and faction related. I often help out groups who are active too. Was just curious about yours.
PP was indeed designed for PvP, as said by the Devs. Whilst you're correct it was introduced as being Solo/PG enabled, this was a naive error made in the early stages of the games development. The 'Beyond' season is about addressing problems with the gameplay and hence we have the proposals about PP (in addition to other mechanics as well).
I think you've got that completely backwards, I'm afraid. Competition is exactly what he's craving, methinks!
