OK. So, why play in Open? What does Open offer that Mobius does not?
If the OP wants a commerce sim hes probably better off playing something else anyway, its a shame to hear hes obviously getting excessively griefed though really doesn't help.
So PvP isn't fun? Oh.
Yes, you've wasted about 2000 hours of your life doing something you hate. This revelation wouldn't have happened without the helpful advice of an internet forum user.
Because there is a threat, and I have to prepare and be stay alert to prevent potential problems. Some people find rising to a challenge more enjoyable than disabling the challenge. To each his own, ofcourse, but I am a bit surprised that some Mobius players still dont grasp the concept that some people enjoy a challenge.
Glad I could help!
How about this: "PvP is Not Fun for someone looking for a space commerce sim."
Or "What is referred to as 'PvP' is something many players find Not Fun, YMMV."
Didn't mean to exclude you PvPers. Just didn't qualify the statement since it was directed toward the OP's experience. Better?
Go exploring, in 99,999999% of the Galaxy no NPC will every show up.
I do wonder tough what factors play a role in how much you get interdicted in the Bubble. I can always see people complaining about getting interdicted all the time yet I barley get interdicted at all unless I have some missions going on that makes you attractiv to NPCs.
Ok, I know this is meant to be open for different play styles, but I've tried and it simply isn't worth it. Unless someone has some good advice on how to avoid being interdicted over and over and over and o... well, you get the idea, I'm uninstalling and waiting for Star Citizen. I'm good with some degree of danger, but I have been interdicted nearly every flight regardless of destination. I've been obliterated by Players more times than I care to count, and for what? I just wanted to have a fun space commerce sim. I'm ok with the pirate thing, but there is little risk to them. This seems to be simply a target-rich environment with minimal cost.
....

Attack and destroy the interdictor! This is a space COMBAT experience. Add weapons to your ship and learn to fight any ship you have a realistic chance against.
Players are better than NPC, when you're interdicted by one (which is a rare event unless your doing a CG), you know that this time there is a real danger.OK. So, why play in Open? What does Open offer that Mobius does not?
Go solo and enjoy a troll-free environment. I don't miss open at all.

Pew pew is but one way to play the game. A lot of people like trading or exploring. Some people even think mining is fun.

Well, if you want to provide risk for the pirates, join an anti pirate group get a PvP ship and take the fight to them, complaining won't get rid of them. Take action.

The op obviously dosent like that challenge. So why do you try to get him into something he dont want and instead try to belittle the other two modes because they are not "enjoyable"?
I wonder who the one is that dont grasp a simple concept of "i dont want any PvP combat, i am wrong in open and better suited to Solo or Mobius (if i still want friendly interaction witho oter players)".
Yeah, knew I'd get at least one. Thanks for the civil and mainly constructive advise and suggestions. I'll look into some, but not sure about the future of this game for me. Btw, for the record I think I stated I wasn't opposed to interdiction and general risk of attack, but when it's nearly every jump, or at least once every mission? Just overwhelmed with the nuisance. Seems more like trying to run cargo ONLY along the eastern coast of Africa.
Same as above. OP obvoiusly dont want to "provide risk" to [pirates|gankers]. So why do you try to press him into a gameplay that he doesent want?.
