Oculus Rift order will be processing for shipment soon.

Anyone got updates on their order? I haven't heard anything since the 11th.

Nope, since the 11th of june it's very quiet.
Pre-ordered on 13th of march with shipping window juni.
Updated new shipping window between 25 july and the 4th of august because of material delay.

I guess it will be delivered soon(er) but when ? :S

Nothing for me either - I had the "Your Oculus Rift is shipping soon" email at midday on Saturday 11 Jun, then nothing.

At work I can't help checking my home email every 20 minutes! [where is it]

Where is it? Give! *explodes*

Exactly the same here - even thought maybe my payment method had gone wrong. At least it seems it's not just me.
My refresh screen finger is starting to get callouses!

If you received the "Your Oculus Rift Order is Shipping Soon!" email last night, you are in the EU or APAC region and your order is in the next couple of batches. US/CA received this email on Wednesday night. As we are getting ahead of the revised shipping estimates, we're sending out a gentle reminder to make sure that billing and shipping information is current and correct before we process the order and attempt to charge your payment method for the purchase of the Rift. If you wish to cancel you order, it is imperative that you respond to that email or contact Oculus Support so that your order does not proceed into processing.
We've been crunching hard since launch and thank you for your patience while we continue to ship Rifts around the world. Have a great weekend. []-)

Oooh, that came out wierd (edit: fixed, dig the rift smiley at the end []-)

Anyway, looks like a shipment of Rifts is making its way to Australia, NZ, and the Asia-Pacific in general.

No news on how long before they process orders (could still be waiting for the Rifts to arrive in ?Hong Kong? before distribution by courier.

I got my shipping now email this morning, and payment debited from my account. Should be here in a few days!

Hi Gryphorim - great! Where are you? When did you order?

I'm in Au (Perth), ordered 28 March, so I'll probably be the last(ish) order to process if you and BillD ordered significantly before me. I imagine they'll process Rifts in the pre-order sequence.

*checks email* doh. The suspense is killing me!

BillD, what was your estimated shipping date? What country are you in? I got "shipping soon" email, but nothing yet on actual shipping.
I am in Australia... I got the initial processing soon email on a Friday, Monday Night the Item was shipped. Estimated Arrival is this Monday 20th.
As of the 16th it is still in Hong Kong though :-(

It'll come by air, at least to your local state capital. But Oculus won't be paying for 'fast' freight, given they had to pay for shipping on all pre-orders.
Sounds like its about to begin winging its way to you though!

You obviously pre-ordered ahead of me - I'm a very late pre-order (March 28th), so I'll be nearly last in the queue... haven't seen the 'processing' email yet... might still be a few days away for me. At least I know I'm in this 'batch' but who knows how big the batch is... a box? A container?

Once I get mine, Oculus can pretty much cross "Asia-Pacific" off their pre-orders list.

It'd be funny to see a Rift in a JB Hifi before all preorders are shipped though. (Not).

I bloody hope not, I am further down the list than you as I ordered 6th April. Also got the processing soon email and tumble weeds since. There is a lot of conjecture it was just to stop peeps running off to get VIVE's now they ship in a couple days which does kinda make sense. Its also been officially confirmed they sent it only as a reminder and that orders may still be 3 - 6 weeks out depending on your number in the que. (Source: Oculus Rift forums)

AU, Melbourne. Feb 2.
I think it's actually been out-of-sequence for some people, based on responses on other forums, but at least the preorders are getting delivered way early!

Hey everyone, I've been following this thread (and many others) on this topic since receiving the "processing soon" email.

I just received the "your order has been processed" email, and wanted to post my preorder date in case it helps or reassures anyone. I preordered the Oculus on February 1st, received the "processing soon" email on June 9th, and received the "order has been processed" email on June 16th, so that's about 1 week and 12 hours in between the emails.

Hope this helps, I'm so hyped to try VR for the first time next week! Just getting the email was surreal!

Mine is now sitting in Derrimut ready for delivery on Monday. It's only 30 mins drive from here, I am tempted to ring them and arrange to pick it up tomorrow.

What do you think so far Karnath?

What do you think so far Karnath?

Stunning, one of the main reasons I packed my DK2 away was the awful washed out colours , herendous smearing all of which resulted from going direct mode. (I'll go more into this later)

From when you first open the package you feel you have purchased a quality bit of retail product, the presentation of the items in the box is excellent.

When removing the rift and sensor, unraveling the cables, they certainly feel more robust and a far superior quality to the DK2's also a lot longer.

I decided to go through the setup option again, although it did work as soon as I started oculus home, I had 2 firmware updates to do, one for the sensor and the remote.. Setup was easy the only issue I came across was the Xbox wireless controller set up, what a pig that was even though I'm using Windows 10 it wouldn't recognise it.. after some googling it turns in to be a common issue and I was missing a certain cab driver. Grabbed that and bingo controller working !!

Moving onto the rift, first thing I removed the built in headphones, was never very interested in using these so can't really comment on the quality.

It's much lighter than the DK2 and a lot more options for adjustment to give you a great fit, the part that's rests upon your face could do with being a little softer (imo) maybe I had it a bit tight against my face but I have a small nose and light was visible if I looked down.

I love the way, it turns itself on as you put your face into it and vice versa when you take it off, it's immediately visible the pixel reduction from just looking at the white oculus warning page before going into the oculus home zen room.

The colours certainly have more vibrance about them and clarity is very good. So straight off to ED

God rays, yes they are present but not all the time and I find them quite easy to ignore once you got yourself immersed in what your doing. Text is easily readable even without any super sampling, everything looks on a better scale now.

I remember people saying the scale was off in the DK2 or it was importing the correct ipd's etc but I could never really see it, yes my avatar looked a little undernourished but I felt size / length looked OK. But now it looks like I've put a few pounds on overnight much better portioned body etc

I encountered zero black smearing, space is much improved over the DK2's washed out colours, but defiantly not perfect but everybody sees things differently but I thought it's leaps and bounds over the DK2 quality.

Tracking was flawless, super smooth no complaints here.

I could go on and on but I'll leave it there, I was a DK2 user for over a 1.5 years, if your coming from one to a CV1 your going to very happy with the difference and quality but if your new to VR and your the CV1 is your first time

Have a box of tissues ready ....... o7

I have my Friendly reminder from Fedex that the parcel will be delivered tomorrow (Monday) woohoo.
