It might just be me but with the latest dev update i just feel so apathetic to EDO.

It like your kid told you they've made you a present and want to show you. You're handed a glue, paste and pasta mess picture of your house, you think it's sweet and you go to hang it up, only find the war zone the child has created, glue, glitter, pasta and other various art supplies cause utter disarray.

The kid takes no responsibility for this and you have to take a while to explain why the mess is bad and needs to be cleaned up, the give a weak 'im sorry' and you get to work cleaning up.

While cleaning you find drawings and plans for macaroni dogs and spaghetti trees, you think they're cute and ask your kid about it, they deny everything. You later find half made broken dogs and trees hidden under the table, you not surprised, just disappointed you've been lied to.

When all said and done you don't really enjoy your gift, since you just wasted your day cleaning glue off the walls and wondering what the glitter was for.

Now imaging if you kid came to you and admitted they made a mess, would clean it up and excitedly told you about the glitter monster and the dogs and trees that they couldn't get done in time.

I bet you'd enjoy your gift more and look forward to seeing it completed in the future.

Just the odd rambling of a fat old man, who's fed up with FDev's Mystery Box nonsense.

The stream was largely well received, also in the chat, on twitter and Reddit. More SRV, FC interiors and emotes were all things heavily requested by many.

But of course the usual folks in DD are complaining. I doubt FD even considers this forum meaningful to measure the 'community temperature', the complaining seems wholly static and regardless of the state of the game over the years.

Other platforms give a far better view on how people who actually play the game feel, as opposed to a gathering of people who often left the game years ago but just hang around like Statler & Waldorf. :D

There is no game that offers what ED does, and I have and still enjoyed it from 2014 to now. Sone parts are very frustrating, and you can point it out if you want. But dudes crying a computer game they enjoyed for hundreds or thousands of hours isn't even better is just... sad.

"Lie down and accept broken garbage"?

Just play the game or not. Whining and complaining year after year on the internet is not some kind of heroic crusade or anything.
