That was the point of the stream though. It helps the new premium beta users and is appropriate as it was the first part of alpha released and this was the first stream they have done...

I'm sure we'll get more content from more streams right?...

Let's hope so, I like it when the devs interact with the community. I just wish we had more info on the game. May 30th seems awfully far away!

So the hyperspace entrance effect is updated on the build they were playing on. In the 1.1 combat build the effect is sort of like a stargate-style blue wormhole.

Thanks! Am I doing something wrong here? I try to watch the recorded clip on twitch but it has to load every 20seconds. My network load is only between 2 and 5%. Seems the clip is very high quality when you're playing the game. Maybe even too high?

Anyway: thanks for taking the time to do this presentation!

EDIT: Nevermind, I understood this is due to Twitch not having the clip in lower rez available right away. It was running fine this morning.

Damn right I squeeked a little when I heared "soon" on damage models. Seconding rest of this too...including your picture of choice.

Damage models was the highlight for me. It's something I've brought up a few times in various threads, trying to eke out some information. Really looking forward to seeing how close to the Kickstarter footage they can get! They set themselves a high bar with that video...

Yep that's the same thing I used but it still pauses.....well...the video time goes but the pauses are in the recording as well.

I was wondering if we'll be seeing another Twitch stream on or around Alpha 4 release?

I had asked the question on twitch whether this would become regular broadcasts but didn't get an answer. I would suppose so, since the community is getting larger, and more involved, now with premium beta on the way.

They should step up these kind of community management activities to promote the game. I forwarded the stream to people not currently following ED, so these broadcasts also help to attract people who are not backing (yet).

I loved every answer they gave , basically all amounting to "ED will be a sandbox where you can play and interact with others how you want (not at all - minimal - intensively, coöperatively or competitively").

So thank you Frontier for the stream!
