Haven't check the thread, but I'm sure someone answered already, but yes.

Also, use the ED market connector and link your EDSM account as well so all your discoveries go into EDSM (but you probably already are doing that, good for other people to know though).

Unfortunately I did not do that. I also forgot to bookmark half of my ELW/WW type systems. I am hoping the info is in my session logs.

Have fun out there, Han! I'm looking forward to my next trip!

Remember and ditch the NPC before you cash in your exploration data!!!

Ah, the fighter NPC. I was confused there for a second!

The strange thing is that it actually gives me a bit of chilled awe. For each jump space and the star sky changes a bit. You're starting to notice new, strange collections of stars you never seen before, or you start seeing nebulas. Or scanning planets with weird colors (just found a tiger planet, it has black stripes). And it feels like an accomplishment to get your name on these new discoveries. It's just cool.

P.S. Send a pic of that tiger planet if you have it!

Here's something that would be cool addition to the game. The ability to drop your own beacon with a personalized message (like a flag) in a system that you've been in. Other players could scan and get message.

Oh, yes! I'd like that :)

Make sure it's worth your time: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...ation-values?p=5486920&viewfull=1#post5486920

Stuff is left unscanned because we wants the CR

(Now you'll no doubt tell me it was a terraformable ringed ELW :) )

Cheers for that link. Can't actually see the image at the moment because I'm in work and pretty much every image hosting site in the free world is blocked but I don't need it until I get home anyway :D

I hadn't played for a while but logged in last weekend, jumped in the Anaconda and just headed out with no particular plan. As of last night I was about two thirds of the way to Sag A*, not that I'm actually heading there specifically and cruising about 1500LY above the galactic plane, balls-deep in neutron stars, O-type stars (for refuelling purposes) and carbon stars.

Knowing how much I've made from exploration in the past, I'm going to be interested to see what I get for some of the systems I've scanned; from memory my best payout for a system before the buff was about 530k credits (and that was something nuts like four terraformable planets orbiting binary black holes lol), I know I've already scanned loads of systems that will blow that away with the new payouts.

Not that I'm doing it for the credits mind you but it's good that if I was, it would actually be an option these days.

Sure. I haven't uploaded pictures to this forum yet, so let's see if it works... btw, I decided to call it a Rorschach planet instead, rather than tiger.

... It says invalid file when I click the upload. The picture is 800x600, tried both png and jpg, same error.

OK. I'm interested!

The forum does not accept image uploads.

Upload it to a hosting site (Imgur for example) and use the link you get to post here.

Ah. I see. Will get an account there. Haven't done much image/video sharing in my life. I'm antisocial that way. And that's why I love the solitude in deep space, away from open world chaos and pirates everywhere.

Yeah, I recommend imgur. Incredibly easy to use.

Ah, there you go. I like the lighting... nice and foreboding. The kind of place that has derelict orbital infested with xenomorphs.

I was a bit surprised seeing it. That the ED engine could produce something like that. It looks blurry a bit, but that's how it actually looks even in high resolution.

Just left the Farsight station. Took a little time to watch the Milky Way behind me. It made me laugh. The feeling of being thousands of light years away from Sol, and not only that, but away from the center of galaxy. It's a little chilling.

Round 2 - 25 days isn't too much of a necro :)

My pop bought himself an AspX and went displorin' (that's dog talk for "exploring"). Anyway, it inspired me. I was looking for a vessel that I could double-down on (only one business cabin in the DBX). Landed on the Asp Scout, and she's fantastic. All the internals you need for an long-range passengers trip with two cabins, a 40 Ly jump range, and a super heat efficient PP (which came in handy when I got scanned leaving port). On top of that, she handles like a race car in SC.

Taking this slick little science vessel out to two separate spots and will be back in no time.
