On the fleet carrier models in store

No, I will just play some !!!free to play!!! game where i can get certain skin by few hours playing the game, not 40 weeks by baiting people into buying currency
You enjoy those FtP games, girl (y)
The rest of us who keep up with what is going one will just carry on as normal...
I guess us knowing the 'shipkits' were going to be purchasable with Arx in beta 1 may just have prepared us for today so aren't having hissy fits over it, sorry

exactly ! all pay to play games work like that. You can get all the cosmetics through activities in game. Elite has literally f2p microtransaction mechanics
I wouldn't mind if some were behind the paywall if that's what they need to keep things running but getting lame emblem for reaching Elite or whatever lower step? Lol.

thats what I mean, they put 100% of visual customization behind microtransactions in a pay to play game, even cut content like this. Without even giving us option which carrier layout we want when buying the carrier. And somehow im evil for wanting that appearently

i'm fine with it... ive already bought all my Carrier goodies on the frontier store

Nobody said you were evil. You asked why no one complained about it, and you got two answers;
1) Plenty of people are happy to support the game with micro-transations, and
2) It was already discussed a couple of months ago here anyway.

She'll enjoy games like Battlefront 2, which was absolutely shredded by the community for F2P game mechanics and insane paywalls for basic content, and which made one of the biggest comebacks in the entire game industry history by fixing all this .

Imagine living in a timeline where EA is superior to FDev, which does nothing but double backing on their poor management, blinded by their own arrogance and lack of competition.

Excellent... then she will have bundles of fun...
My imagination isn't that poor, sorry 🤷‍♂️

its mostly lack of competition. Once some other space sim arrives, elite will be in trouble with the amount of salt i see on forums with every update compared to other games

Did you just compare Battlefront 2's Pay2Win with Elite's optional cosmetics? :ROFLMAO:

Meanwhile, looks like Elite is playable on phones now!

There are many space sims available now: Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky, Infinity Battlescape, X4 Foundations, Space Engineers, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Lots of choice available :)

Actually it got shredded for Lootboxes that didnt even make it into the game.

And a really tedious unlock method for heros. That's about all I can think of that was really harried about and both got fixed pretty quickly.
