Even if it makes me throw up after half and hour and I never use it again - it's simply got to be tried! ED - especially space stations - are quite something with these things if you know what I mean!!

<vom>

Oh you guys...

I do really wanna spend it, though :D

Arrrggghhh....

In the last few months I've purchased a 4K G-Sync monitor, a Titan X and milling machine (completely unrelated, but costly)...

...and yet I'm still eyeing up a DK2 and watercooling setup :S

Oh man I need a 4k monitor...and a couple 980s to drive it :p

I think you should also get a DK2....it's for the best, for the good of Humanity. Think about it, if you don't buy it, someone else will have to...you'd be doing them a favour ;)

There is no doubt in my soul I need to buy this thing pronto.

And for those of you waiting for the consumer version...it turns out is not happening this year...read it somewhere....now that FB bought them...they are taking their time..not in a hurry for benjis it seems....

yes I want one of those but being in the UK I am not paying the excessively over the top import duty

Enty

Except that you don't. They import them for you, using an intermediate logistics company. Your delivery comes from a UK address, via UPS. The only price bump is the 20% VAT. It usually takes significantly less than a week, depending on stocking cycles.

This message was sent to you at the request of HAWK FREIGHT O/B OCULUS VR to notify you that the shipment information below has been transmitted to UPS.

(Sorry if that made you even more tempted)

Yes - I'm wavering too. I'd resolved to wait for the consumer version.

But...

Yeah, a lot of people did.. personally I just went "bah, screw it!" after their total failure to be bullish in front of the press at SXSW, where they were getting a load of airtime. I waited long enough already- and I started realising that I could have more fun with a slightly primitive DK2 in the meantime anyway. It's a bit half-baked, but if you're a patient tinkerer, it's loads of fun.

I kid you not, mine had me crawling round the back of my chair like a blind man and trying to touch things that weren't there. It's an amazing experience, but for actual gaming the triple screen and Trackir setup is still better.

Having said that, and despite my views on Facebook, when this is properly released I'm getting one. I just so wish it were another company getting my money.
