Indeed they willDon't make too many enemies at the same time. Eventually they'll gang up on you.
Perhaps that is why there are rumours of certain parties already leaving the Nebula...
Just rumours, you understand...

I don't think any of the Reapers are leaving, not even rumoured to be leaving... Others may thoughWell I hope they focus on one group at a time because spreading out in the bubble of all places is not going to work. There is so much space there. A faction can lose 5 systems and gain 1 strategic system and they are ahead. Different ballgame there
another option to get out of the "locking control by conflict" or better "being locked out of conflict by conflict" is what is happening in Vicktore's Promise. if they manage to get their influence up 6-10% during they are locked out of conflict, they can trigger control conflict after cooldown (because the winning side gains ~8%).
that of course will need some desynchronizing of conflict durations (by manipulating the daily wins).
another option would be to come forward with a humble suggestion to get out of the "either A or B" logic.
something like: an impartial third party takes over ("neither a nor b") , or some kind of "a and b" (which is hard to see...).
generally, just talking history of asymmetric warfare here, those are often decided by "public opinion" inside the more powerfull warring side. it strikes me as a strategic error to attack what other call home (because they can't leave it) without an option to resolve the conflict somehow.
Which makes an 8% gap....the winning side gains 4%. The loser loses 4%
The most accurate statement of the day so farthe BGS is boring
you are of course right. so i'd rephrase to 3-6 % above the conflict parties.the winning side gains 4%. The loser loses 4%
lol.I mean, specifically, a few days ago Paul Smith gave me a veiled threat on another thread saying they will remember me and will come for me (paraphrased). That's fine lol. They want to come for my bubble faction because I didn't represent their views on the forums, cool...go for it. Player opposed BGS is the most fun. Who wants to beat NPCS....boring. I don't think they appreciate the apple they are taking a bite out of though. It took my group 15 months to get to where it is now. Given they will be opposed it will take them 15+ months to retreat us back and we don't care what we control. Don't care at all. We play the BGS for fun. They want to bring more fun into it that's awesome.
Which reminds me, Paul, if you are really planning to do that make sure you keep contact because I will congratulate you on every win and will let you know about every loss. I welcome it. Without opposition the BGS is boring.
For their overall goals though...does it make sense? How many enemies are you going to make? Where does it end? Who are you going to fight next? At the same time? There comes a point when you over-reach. Think strategically. Are you going to come after every player who didn't openly support you? That's a lot of players Just saying

Well, tough nut to crack but I'll give it a go. They are not in the best starting position. Outnumbered, need BGS coaching, facing multiple enemies.
For starters, their entire campaign has been built around that shipyard so retaking it as a service to the community, based on their PR, would be paramount. What they need is numbers. Decent BGS players willing to stay the course and fight for that shipyard. Without the numbers on their side to actually win that they don't stand a chance.
In terms of taking the fight to the enemy, spreading out and attacking everyone at once is a bad idea given they are outnumbered. If it was me, I would concentrate all of my forces into a specific target. Hammer that target relentlessly until you achieve your goal and then move on to the next target. If you get it, with less numbers, you have a huge PR victory. "We beat them and were outnumbered 3:1 - come fight for winnners" or whatever.
Defend their faction is my main point. Moving to am attacking strategy with low numbers and low likelihood of success is less likely to recruit new players to the cause than fighting a valiant defence. They need to find a way to defend with a minimum of effort while taking any extra effort to attacking. Grind out the small wins and keep the rest equal. That way they lose nothing and maybe gain momentum. Get momentum and maybe they can get a big win.
In BGS terms, they are up against it now. 2 weeks ago this was still all open, but now, this is a really big job.
Either that or sue for peace. Try to salvage something (doubt it will happen and would be a sad ending).
We don't even know who you are or what group you're with. However, if you'd like some attention certainly feel free to post your faction name here (with some positive verification it is actually yours).
I'm sure we can send someone your way!
The plan is different. You need to look a little further and not only at the direct members of the AAAxis. The change in ownership of a system close to Carcosa a few days ago and inf changes in the controlled systems of that faction paint a different picture. Somebody is still spreadsheeting from the shadows. We will not forget about you and everybody else involved in it. The scouting in the bubble was very interesting and informative I have to say. No wonder such big empires can be build there with not that many people.
Phisto convinced me to come to Colonia a little over a year ago. Now look what that has done. Fun and engaging game play ever since.
Maybe...maybe not. I've been discussing this conflict as a neutral. If you think I am against you, come for me. Won't hold it against you. Don't think much of your chances on current evidence tbh
Well, it appears you have the upper hand, you have been threatened by someone who doesn't even know who you are - and you ask Phisto to not be disengenious...... If I am wrong and the line " We will not forget about you and everybody else involved in it" was not a veiled threat then ignore what I said. If it was Phisto, stop being disingenuous, you're not that smart.
