Panther Clipper Concept, i love it

Have you considered that there might be some retconning done here?

I will assume that the video author found the model somewhere, does what he found explicitly name Zorgon Peterson, or is it just an assumption in the video based on past discussions?

Heck if we really need a lore-reason, just say the ship got bought out by Lakon.

Job done.
Because the 'offical' art had ZP on it:

Not to mention, do we need yet another Lakon ship? Too many Lakon vessels makes for a boring, angular game.

I suggest you look up what "retcon" means, then.

Things can change.

That image is literally concept art.

I have had to say this a few times this week: Do not get attached to concept art designs, as most never make in it into whatever game they are made for.

Not to mention nearly a decade old at this point...

I don't need to you be condescending to know things can change- however I don't want a game dominated by large, almost identikit boxy ships from one manufacturer all the time.

Lakon has its lineup, ZP has its own, with the Hauler, Adder and here the Panther Clipper.

Right now, the Panther Clipper does not exist in ED, at least, not with a manufacturer related to it.

I say this due to some fighter pilots mentioning it...

There is nothing condescending here. Just facts that you personally dislike. That is your problem.

The only 'fact' is two pieces of offical art- the one I posted and this one:

No other facts exist for me to 'dislike'- its all opinion and you being condescending.

Assumed to be manufactured by Zorgon Peterson

Kinda' shot yourself in the foot there dude.

Even your source is not certain about itself.

My thoughts: You're in denial. Sorry, can't help you there.

What I can say is that if the model in the video is indeed real, it's looking far too late in design to be changed significantly. Screams "finalised" with that kind of detail.

Kids, that's enough fighting, let's all unite in our worship of the Space Big Chungus, whatever form it may take.
The other question is if we really need the PC at all, since if it can carry 2000T its got to fly at comically slow speeds otherwise its just a fatty Cutter- which will inevitably collide with 'butitsagankmagnetwhydoIneedshields'.

I wonder if its time has come and gone, or that its 1250T but midway speed between a T-9 and a Cutter.

No matter how it's implemented, the fan base will howl with outrage. So FDev should implement it the way they think is best.

My biggest fear is if they make it too small and it ends up being a less capable Cutter.

And why was it I put offical in brackets then (like this- 'offical')

If anything the 'offical' leak (if it is- the Scorpion leak came true enough) looks a lot like the first concept I posted.

The Cutter is OP for what it does, so FD are screwed there :D

Time will tell.

Either way I can't say I am all that concerned. I already have my ship. My Krait Mk II.

Which, BTW, ended up looking like nothing what is showing in concept art either.
