Panther Clipper? Pit-Con.

Seriously though, I think requiring NPC crew might actually be fun. Granted, maybe not ELEVEN, but yeah... give those NPC crew slots a use for once?

C'mon, that is not a Jaeger from Pacific Rim! It just 2 (3 if we lucky) times bigger than Cutter/T-9.

Even biggest truck IRL is piloted driven by one driver/operator.

it's a sliding scale and the ones you list are the more offensive examples of P2W
however
let's has we have a trading CG and these absolutely have a ranking depending on where you finish up

one player has an ARX bought panther with an SCO drive and another player has a T9

whether it matters to you or not is a different argument. personally it does not bother me. but that is a "feels" argument (ie subjective)

But I don't see how that does not objectively tick the P2W boxes. perhaps you can't "win" elite dangerous but you can absolutely win a CG
CGs have always been won for one reason - Time, if you have it you win.

There is no need to get upset

I could fill the page with these type of threads
I am pretty much aware that the PC is probably the most requested ship, although I don't understand why anyone apart from players doing serious colonisation would want to fly such a brick. But no matter, you still won't arrive at 'all' no matter how many threads you link.
You still set yourself up for disappointment with your high expectations that it 'is the clipper' and 'disappointing' if it isn't what you want.

Nope, that's the rubber decoy Rubbernuke, working as intended
Well we Brits do have previous

Panther clipper you say? <perk>

<<<rushes down to the junkyard of old space craft parts and unpacks the extra large plasma accelerator.... then remembers how unneeded that gun was when you could just load up with shields and make your own way to the destination... regardless of things in the way such as pirates, the imperial navy, police , and the side of the stations....

Bill

<<<when grandpa landed his on Ross 128 , it caused a large wobble in the planets rotational axis

I don't think 'serious' colonisation is the prerequisite here. Any colonisation effort would benefit greatly from improved cargo space.

To your point, a modern panther clipper would have had little use outside of maximising trade loops - that is until colonisation was introduced.

I think giving players a game mechanic that massively utilises the would-be cargo capacity of a fan-favourite ship re-make is quite a smart move.

Agree 100%!

Also I would slap mining lasers on that baby SO fast and make a fortune on every load of Platinum lol.

I wonder if enough stuff pivots and articulates for what I'm assuming to be the front thruster to drop down below the rear thruster while in flight. It also appears you are in the picture, so stop being so secretive! View attachment 427554
I don't think so, because the front thruster is actually not aligned with the back thruster, it's more on the outside. The ship (including the thrusters) seems to be wider in the front, if you look careful enough.
