There's a yo mamma joke just waiting to be made, but i really don't want another forum ban.
Here comes the complaints that the Type 9 and the Cutter are now obsolete...
I thought that was an early prototype for the Chieftain before they started to sculpt it.
Maybe they will get Saud Kruger to build it, so a bigger Beluga with swivel motors and lots of wings.

I would say 6x class 8 would be just peachy.
I'd most certainly love my NPC crew to fill in roles aboard such a ship, even better if I can actually see them onboard too. If this is the start of newer, larger ships, I'll also hope for the Boa to finally come to the game too.
I don't think the game currently supports a flyable ship of that size (that's certainly far bigger than a large landing pad, and it certainly wouldn't fit through a station's mail slot). Also it wouldn't make much sense for it to be handled like a fleet carrier because, well, we already have fleet carriers.
In order to add a new ship of that size they would need to create an entire new way of "docking" at space ports with it. Perhaps parking it outside and use a small ship to actually dock, or something like that? Overall, it would be quite a big change. (And even if they implemented some kind of "leave it outside the station" mechanic, the outside of popular stations would get filled up pretty quickly. The logistics would be a nightmare.)
I don't think it's happening any time in the near future. Not like this, at least.
(Of course it's always possible that the ship looks bigger in that teaser picture than it really is, and it actually does fit on a large landing pad. But man, does it look huge.)

Could be, there are yellow bits on the paintwork like the default paintjobs on the other Alliance ships. I'd still prefer the PC, but a (proper) large Alliance ship would be the next best thing.
I hope it's not a Panther. I hated that ship in the previus games. It was so dull to fly. And it took forever to hire enough crewmembers for it. It had pitiful thruster performance.

Should still fit in the slot with room to spare and will almost certainly be purchasable and flyable by a single CMDR.
Large landing pads are pretty big.
The big question mark is probably the landing gear. The thruster doesn't touch the ground.

Yep, the full cube of the L pad is not really used by most L ships. If we couid hit 1000 cargo in something that would be a serious upgrade and my god I'd buy it even were it less just so I never have to fly that hunk of festering cow crap T9 again.

I doubt the Panther Clipper would fly better than the Type-9. The Type-9 has max 790 tonnes so the PC should be max 1600 tonnes.
