From the people who brought you the popular Apollo 11 and Apollo 15 Expeditions...

A voyage to the darkest depths, and the brightest parts of the Milky Way, and beyond!!!

This is a journey from the foundations of CMDR Jameson's beginnings in the Lave system (Elite 1984), through the galaxy as visited by the vibrant multitude of Elite : Dangerous Expeditions that went before us. All the while continuing to explore, to blaze our own trail through this vast and unknown galaxy of ours. During the trip we shall encounter the ruins of the Guardian race, the 'Second Bubble' of Colonia, the community build station from Distant Worlds 2 of 'Explorers Anchorage', via the renown 'Beagle Point and many other breath taking and significant places.

Finally our final destination is the closest star to the galactic neighbour of Andromeda. The logical jumping off point for any future expeditions seeking to cross the seemingly endless wastes of inter-galactic space. This place is the mysterious Star One...

Passage To Andromeda, is a celebration of and a tribute to the exploration community of Elite itself. To all the pioneers, the event organisers, community project admins, and most of all...you the explorers of Elite : Dangerous!

Note: we are changing our second waypoint to investigate the Guardian ruins at the Àrsaidh Nebula. In light of the developments with the Thargoids and their changed interactions with Guardian Technology.

Signed up for this, not done a massive expedition in a group before, so looking forward to it. Bringing my DBX, the Banana Skin along for this one, hopefully she'll do a great job. Now, do I fly in horizons or ody?

Well tried both last night and going to stick with 3.8. Landed on one of carriers doing the journey and in 3.8 is a nice gunmetal colour. Switched to ody, and carrier is over saturated and glows white. Looked truly awful and nearly seared my retinas. Sticking to horizons 3.8 for this trip

Today is the launch of the expedition, and the Waypoint is named Elite after the first game.

These two chaps did something that was considered to be impossible in the mid 1980s...
