Someone, I don't know who but they should claim a well-deserved credit here, set up an open-access spreadsheet listing Alpha players' system specifications and the frames per second they were achieving. I found this very useful last year when deciding on a spec for a new machine to play Premium Beta on.
I lost track of the link some time ago - I found it again after I went searching when I mentioned it in another thread and was asked where it was.
So I found it, and it's here, and I thought I would give it a bump on the forum. I see that a tab has now been added for Beta players.
I would encourage everyone to enter their performance data as the more information there is, the more useful it will be.
The fps column could really do with expanding to cover fixed and general gaming scenarios (e.g fps range for a couple of the Combat scenarios, fps in mp loitering outside space station, fps inside station (noted a surprising drop there myself) and fps at an agreed scenically complex location) so that a clear picture of performance emerges. Given some of the comments elsewhere about ping, upload/download speeds and playability the sheet could also do with a tab for that perhaps.
I don't want to mess with the layout of the originator's version without their agreement so, again, a message here would be helpful.
