Petting Zoo type of DLC?

Thought it would be a cool idea to maybe add some sort of petting zoo DLC like alot of Zoo's have an area where kids (and adults - you know you love it too 😉) get to interact with like Goats, Pigs, Chickens/chicks, Ponies, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, etc. I don't mean just have it like in Zoo Tycoon (from what I can remember) where it was just place a building and boom, petting zoo.

Have it how it is now with the animals roaming around in an enclosure and have the guests go in and interact with them (free roam - not restricted by a guest path).

Speaking of which, with the current animals, like the Giraffe and Elephants, maybe have a section where you can feed and pet them like alot of Zoo's also have? You would have a Giraffe walk upto the area and a guest would give it some food??

Another idea (last one I swear 😅) would be like in the Xbox version you have a Zoo Keeper placed with a Lemur or Parrot to entertain the guests as they walk by or something??? Similar to the mascots in Planet Coaster.

I feel like this pack could just be a free add-on. The animals could gain less donations than other animals and that guests can go into habitats. It shouldn't be hard to model(not a dev so I wouldn't know just a guess) and give animations. It would be fun to have at the entrance or the last part of a zoo. A petting zoo pack would be amazing and I would love it

What do mean? Like those buildings in the Zoo Tycoons? I think the OP means they'd be added as actual animals, not just structures with looping "creatures" inside. I wish the guests and animals paid more attention to the each other in existing walkabouts, peafowl could squawk loudly and startle humans, capuchin could climb on them, etc.

I meant if you build the habitat then guest can enter and pet/feed animals that are in said habitat. The static and looping animals would ruin any immersion that you could have, I myself would hate seeing the same animations over and over. But the animals could be any other with a smaller radius of area and be okay for guests to enter the habitat. It would be cool to get as a free expansion as it wouldn't have the coolest animals in it. Personally it wouldn't make sense for it to be a 10$ pack when we get more interesting animals and build pieces in those expansions. 5$ would be a decent amount though.

I see. If they added four or five farm animals in addition to the mechanics, I would have no problem paying regular price. Remember, just because they're not as rare, a domestic pig wouldn't take any less work than a more endangered type.

The correct way to describe them is domestic, like llama, or the Bactrian camel

Yes, thank you. Sometimes I forget to use the proper terms for certain things.

"Farm animal" is perfectly suitable. The llama is also a farm animal. The camel isn't, but that's because they're primarily used by nomadic peoples who don't typically operate farms.

To the point of the thread, I'll simply repeat what I've said in other versions of the same topic; I have no objection to the inclusion of farm animals and petting zoo mechanics, but I'd rather not see them in the game until more conventional zoo animal slots are filled. Most zoos do have a "Children's Zoo"/"Petting Zoo"/"Barnyard" in them, after all, so realism isn't really an issue.
