couldnt we rotate walls in alpha? i thought the devs removed it or stopped it

i know i commented before

Yes you are right, we were able to do in Alpha.

What i ment is that this "feature" isn't back officially. But with some modding it seems like it's posible as proven by the picture :)

My point was referring to the fact that this was possible before, and I wonder if the devs would consider bringing it back. I know they said it was "unintended" but they didn't plan on no collision either. It seems to work decent enough to possibly deserve fixing? Personally, I think walls should be able to act as a scenery object OR a wall, based on player choice.

Did i drink too much or are those walls really weird

But how did you get the blue and red axis controller on the wall? Is that 'shopped?[weird]

EDIT: Nevermind, I replied to an earlier version of this thread, I see what you did there...

I'm wonder what this is gonna be called when it's first available for the public. GregorsMod? [big grin]

gregorburns and Vampiro ... Thanks a lot for your experiments. I hope you use a different copy instead of your original game versions.

Never expect that this could happen so early. To move and rotate walls in any directions would give the game so much more flexibility. Hopefully you both can add some additinal building parts soon too. A 1m by 1m wall part would be a good start.

Now a mod that set light to 1 instead of 0 when you select 'activate on trigger' would be awesome - trigger lights to turn off...

Also is it gonna be a big mod or are there going to be lots of small mods?

Like the no track limits would be a small mod, the ability to xyz rotate wall pieces is gonna be a small mod or is it all gonna be included within the same mod?

Gregor has come up with a nice name for his mod tools. He was so kind to let me design the icon for it. I'll give Gregor the honour of revealing the name for his mod tools, which he will do in due time. :)

Don't get your hopes up, this thread is just to show the current status of what people can do with modding. But it's still a long long way to make it available.

I do hope there will be something available soon though. Even if it's just as 'small' as a no track restrictions. We are already 1.5 year without mods. [big grin] Dont wanna make that a full 2 years now

I would really love to see a map overlay mod like the one they made for Cities Skylines. It would make building real parks so much easier.

Will this mod allow for a scenario editor? I want to have more freedom of choice on a game start.

In theory surely this could mean any paid for content packs could be unlocked if someone found a way given all assets appear in game whether you've paid for them or not? That can't be good news for Frontier. Certain mods are good for the game yes but we're not even a year from the initial release and I guess Frontier weren't planning on someone being successful so early on with any attempt to modify the files. Gregor's met the devs as far as I know so hopefully they're not concerned about this thread in any way (and the thread not being deleted/closed doesn't prove that one way or the other).

What he said. Some getting a little carried away with their expectations.
