it probably wont affect older saves, or the original scenarios. Probably just for newer scenarios and harder challenge mode

Please let there be a few more flat rides. I'm hoping for at least four more besides what was announced. Is there stuff they held back and will be showing us in early April prior to the release?

I believe there is stuff held back from what i gathered, but i don't know what nature. Im not sure if they held Flatrides back though.

And also, don't worry. This is not the Last update for that Game i'm sure. And i wouldn't be angry about a payed DLC either. The Game itself is pretty cheap, and it's quite a lot that we got for Free.

So i'm willing to support Frontier further with payed Content. I would prefer real Addons rather than dripfeeding smaller Content.

This is an offiicial press release, things like QoL improvements and fixes are not looking very sexy in a list like this. Besides, imagine they will actually fix broken systems like the horrible way paths and terrain interact or how the Building editor glitches out all the time. (one can dream, right? [happy]) The only way you can lists those improvements in a press release is by acknowledging they were broken or poorly implemented in the first place (on release day for paying customers mind you). That doesn't make you look very good either.

I wonder if that will include ride(s) as well. If so i will be shocked as we already know 7 new rides which is quite a LOT for a free update.

way more things to come... but.. do you mean in THIS update? or just in general.. Sorry. I'm being skeptical but I'm just looking to get a straight answer instead of marketing answer.. marketing answers are vague and leave room to go back on later.. like in this case.. the April update only includes these items.. and we say "but yous aid there was more" and you reply .. well yes but that's later cause you didn't specific more to come in THIS update.. lol

I mean yeah I'm happy to get what we are getting I love more content and especially free.. it's just for me personally.. I'll probably just use the Suspended coaster and boomerangs.. and MAYBE the go karts every now and then.. they are pretty amazing, I'm just not a go karts fan.. still.. they are pretty sweet in action. I want to see more classic flat rides that I can use in parks, things like the paratrooper, or a 1 story larger carousel.. or the Matterhorns.. more cars for dark ride tracks .. and giant water splashdown.. I know some of these are too much to ask for in a single update.. but at least give a classic flat ride that fits any park... The Tri-Storm was the best thing I've seen added recently and was a great surprise.. give us more like that.. beggars can't be choosers though so I'll end my sort of rant on a positive note.. thanks for all the great work you guys have done so far. I'm positive you will make this game fantastic with every update.. I just don't like waiting for awesome stuff and getting stuff I personally won't use.

I get what you are saying, but look at the thread title, this thread is about the Spring Update ;)

Besides that, the PAX announcement stated that this would be a "sneak peak" at what would be coming in the Spring update. Bo and Sam confirmed during the stream this was only like a highlight and it was not all (according to sam, it wasn't nearly all). And now Andy is saying the same thing.

Just like you i am amazed by the amount of content in this update [woah] And personally i wonder if any new -rides- will be added apart from the ones we know. But seems like it's confirmed multiple times now that there is more then we have seen so far in the spring update. (We just don't know if that means rides, scenery, features, etc etc ... or a mix of multiple)

Guess we will find out what more will be added over the next few weeks :)

I really like what we've been shown so far. Guess there is still more to come. I hoped for more water rides. But I think we have to wait and I hope they tell us more about the cosmetic options. I'm happy to pay for little extras. In cities Skylines i only buy extra content or dlc if I think it's worth it or I need it for further fun in gameplay. So let's wait and see.

One think about the confirmed go karts. I remember the option in RCT to have a race or just rounds. I usually would use rounds for peeps. This would be more realistic in my opinion. Not every theme park (I know) offers a race for the go kart track. But all in all I'm happy to see go karts in game.

Well, I like what has been announced and I believe there indeed is more they haven´t shown, BUT....

remember this "more" can be actually the content locked behind the micro-transaction, which was already confirmed to be part of this update....

Since Planet Coaster launched in November 2016, we’ve been so overwhelmed by your support, kind words, and dedication to this awesome coaster-loving community. We’ve seen a host of updates thus far, including the highly popular free Winter Update for everyone to enjoy. One thing that we get asked a lot is what to expect for the future development of Planet Coaster.

The team are in fact still working very hard on the game; something which you will see in the form of periodic updates, much like the Winter Update we had in December. From time to time you’ll also see smaller updates which could include a variety of improvements or fixes.

Our next major update is coming in mid to late April; so look forward to some fun activity, news, and livestreams on our official channels as we get closer! We also have a smaller update happening this week which will include new light sequences and coaster support improvements (which you may have seen on the livestream with Sam Denney last week), bug fixes, additional language support, and, I’m happy to say, a new flatride!

Another thing that a lot of you have been wondering about is paid additional content for Planet Coaster and how this may work in the future. Planet Coaster is a passion for our community and developers alike; that’s why our next major update (1.2), coming in mid-late April, will once again be available for everyone who owns Planet Coaster for free. It will come with a number of gameplay features, flatrides, and new coasters that we’re super excited to be showing you over the coming weeks. We will also be introducing cosmetic optional purchases for those of you who want to give your parks that little extra personality!

Finally, we’re very excited to confirm that we will be heading to PAX East in March and would be delighted if you could join us. We will have some livestreams from the show floor, so even if you’re unable to make it to the event, you’ll be able to share in the excitement with us. I don't think so. But we'll see, Frontier always manages to surprise me.

Ahhh Ok.. Didn't see that before. Wonder what these are.. like just pieces you can pay if you want or actual differently themed flat rides.. most likely just scenery pieces or something. Still.. I'll be happy to pay for something if I like it.
