Why doest it always have to be specifically european brown bear, but wild boar can be just a wild boar?
I don't know why it's so hard for people to accept that different people have different interests regarding species in subspecies? I mean, especially recently has that topic been brought up again and again.
Here's from me personally: I'm very familiar with brown bear subspecies, I can physically tell them apart, specifically European Brown Bear is animal very important and dear to me, not to mention how much is that exact subspecies present in all zoos in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, therefore I insist on its inclusion. Wild Boar is an neat animal that covers the niche, for me so just give me "a Wild Boar" and we're good. I realize that they look different in different parts of world (native ones in Middle East and India, and introduced ones from Aus and NA) but I don't care.
Why does it have to be consistent? We're all here asking for our personal wishes, which will, by design, be very subjective. If we need to get specific subspecies of Wild Boar, I'm counting on whoever cares for that or knows about it to insist on that, cause I won't. And that's perfectly fine.
I mean I understand there might be people who do try to be objective when they pick their rosters and wishlist, and sure that's fine as well, but there's no need to expect that same objectivity from others as given.
