I highly doubt most players, especially if they're casual players, would even notice or careYou know, I wonder if new players who buy the base game are ever confused by the fact that there are like two super high quality animals in their roster compared to a lot of the older, more stylised models.
I find at least half of the base game animals still hold up well enough, I'm not a pixel peeper for animal accuracy though unlike a lot of us here. The giraffe, female lion, ostrich etc are still among my favourite animals to use. Most casual players probably wouldn't even notice the difference in quality of say a Gorilla to the newer gibbons. You know, I wonder if new players who buy the base game are ever confused by the fact that there are like two super high quality animals in their roster compared to a lot of the older, more stylised models.
Happy to support the game for many years to come if you guys keep releasing awesome content!Just wanted to say a BIG personal thankyou to the community here for supporting the game all these years! Can't wait to see all the habitats you build for this new animal.![]()
No offense but too good to be true for/to me. Now's to wait for the next whole months (or two) to see the next pack of new species (and subspecies).Hayo Zookeepers,
Wippi Abbonibo or Happy Anniversary! This weekend we're celebrating the 4th Anniversary of Planet Zoo, so of course we've got some exciting new things for you to enjoy in game
Free update 1.15.2 will be featuring some brand new Anniversary content that is available right now, just update your game! Are you ready to see what other exciting things we've got planned for you? Without further ado, lets get into what's going on for this year's Planet Zoo Anniversary celebration!
Let's start off with a bang by introducing our brand new friend - meet the Collared Peccary!

The Collared Peccary evolved from pig-like ancestors in Europe and now have a significant presence in North America. In game, the Collared Peccary will be able to forage using the forage box and also be able to roll about in mud! We can't wait to see what kind of habitats you build for them in your Zoos. They are also very social creatures living in herds of 5-15, so make sure to add a bunch of them into your habitats!
Wait, so is that good or bad?No offense but too good to be true for/to me. Now's to wait for the next whole months (or two) to see the next pack of new species (and subspecies).
Which one? If that's about the peccary being there, then that'll do for it's already done after waiting for expected for so long.Wait, so is that good or bad?
3-6 is more than 24 hours? Does anyone know when the challenge starts? And if it just counts to the active one. Because I am past 800 released animals in that one, so I would be very sad if I don't get the outfit for my avatarOf course we've got another limited-time celebration happening in game this weekend with a 24 hour Community Challenge from 3rd-6th November! In this special event, you'll receive a boosted animal that has an 80%+ in any gene, in return for every 5 animals you release (with a 1 in 50 chance of having Piebald or Albino colouring!) You will also gain a complete Avatar outfit for every 20 animals released - so both you and your animals will look, oh so stylish!
