Also in the description of the post they do mention the sakis jumping branch to branch - hopefully this means we’ll see this in game.
We won't see this in gameAlso in the description of the post they do mention the sakis jumping branch to branch - hopefully this means we’ll see this in game.
I've been seeing it mentioned in wishlists for yearsOh yeah? Where were they?
And just as it is now, it was wrong them to use that termI don't care if someone's calling it 'roadkill'. We went through that same song and dance with the Twilight Pack
I feel like you're reading too much into something that is only half right. Like yeah, some people may be coming out to say it was good, but you cannot deny the fact that there are people who did ask for the coyoteHow many times have I said I want the Sumatran tiger? I don't care when people tell me it would be a "wasted slot" or "just use the Bengal as a substitute". But I'd sure be annoyed if all those people suddenly came out saying, "Oh, great choice, yes, I wanted this," if it suddenly made it into the game.
I've been mentioning superb lyrebirds for years, doesn't mean it was ever a popular suggestionI've been seeing it mentioned in wishlists for years

it might need more fluff on the keel?IMO the whole thing is off. The head seems fine, but the rest of the animal seems to be a 1:1 recolour of the ostrich (barring the feet, which seem to have the correct number of toes).
It's the underside that bothers me; rhea have a much smoother transition from neck to breast than ostriches.it might need more fluff on the keel?
I think this is a bit of a weird comparison. The wisent and American bison are super closely related (not saying this to argue the wisent is a bad pick, or vice versa, it’s just a matter of fact) whilst rheas are so distant from ostriches they aren’t even in the same order, and they developed flightlessness entirely independently of one another. As such, while they may appear superficially similar, rheas are anatomically quite different from ostriches, meanwhile what Frontier has given us is looking more and more like a three-toed ostrich with rhea colours. This isn’t nitpicking, it literally doesn’t look like the animal it’s supposed to be.I just hope all those people nitpicking details on rhea, because it's an american animal, are not the same people who were convincing wisent fans, very important european conservation animal, that we don't need them bcs they are just a copy of american bison, when even the silhuette is different.

It's funny that there is no ratite more distant relatedly to rheas than an ostrichrheas are so distant from ostriches they aren’t even in the same order, and they developed flightlessness entirely independently of one another. Makes you suspicious as to why, doesn't it? I know we have confirmation that females look different, but... last minute correction?Given all of the feedback and criticism some of the other animals are getting, I’m so glad the saki is the best one visually out of the bunch(they really are gate keeping that female though)
Oh yeah? Where were they?
To me it looks like they've only come out of the woodwork now that the coyote is being criticised, which is my point. Sure, it popped up now and again, but the prevailing opinion seemed to be "there are ten better dogs and fifty better species". It stinks of contrarianism.
Like @DarthQuell said, it's an ugly way to speak about an animal at any time and something that puts upsetting imagery in my head. Doesn't matter if the debate has been had before, it's always going to be something I speak up against whenever I see it.I don't care if someone's calling it 'roadkill'. We went through that same song and dance with the Twilight Pack. Obviously there are people who aren't going to be fond of urbanised and potentially dangerous wild animals, justified or not.
Again, I'm not sure who you think is pretending. This all comes across as a bit puritanical. If people are happy, let them be!As always, I just want some good faith arguments, because they never seem to actually be in good faith at DLC announcement time. Like, if someone has realised they actually like the coyote now that it's here, just say that. Don't pretend you always wanted it, or that it was always a good pick. Just say "Actually I'm fine with this." People might argue with you, but who cares? Your opinion can't be wrong; there's no objective truth about what animals should/shouldn't be included in the game.
I feel the same way. Yes the Coyote was not my preferred pick, and yes it takes a slot from the coati unfortunately, but now that it’s here it looks great and it’ll be cool to further flesh out American deserts which used to be one of the worst regions when the game first dropped. They’re super versatile for America and imma definitely have a lot of use for them in rescue contexts of my zoos. I’m an optimistic person at heart so I’ll always look towards the bright side of things and work with that.I don't think anyone is pretending they wishlisted it if they didn't. I think we're just happy with how it looks, glad to have it (not necessarily at the expense of other species), appreciative of the continued support and maybe just have a more positive outlook in general. I never expected it to be on anyone's radar, but seeing it announced I thought it looked gorgeous, is an interesting animal and will be fun to put in lots of my zoos. Looks like it has new animations as well like sitting and the play bow - that's worth getting excited about (for me anyway).

I have said all along that I feel like the coati is missing from this pack but other than that, I'm delighted with it. I tend to enjoy all of Frontier's choices, even if they weren't on my list, because I'm probably just more of a cup-half-full person and I practice gratitude intentionally, it makes life much better.
They look extremely nice, very well made. Can't wait to see them ingame myself!
Doubt.Makes you suspicious as to why, doesn't it? I know we have confirmation that females look different, but... last minute correction?
I don't understand this either. I honestly don't want to insult someone here but in my opinion this conspiracy is just ridiculous.Doubt.
A last minute change usually doesn't make it to the early access that content creators have access to.
I think this saki conspiracy is just asinine. Why would they not include the dimorphism, exactly? Why did we even start spreading this rumour around?
