I am pretty happy we didn't get the ABB in this pack and I wouldn't need it as anniversary animal either, cause IMO there are more important choices. We got the sloth bear three DLCs ago and the Spectacled Bear in the last one, so I guess this is the reason the ABB was not included. Also, outside of North America ABBs dont seem to have that much of importance for zoos and conservation it seems. I at least never saw an ABB in an European Zoo.

They are held at 24 collections in 12 countries. Sloth bear in comparison are held at 8 collections in 5 countries.
I agree that I don't personally want the ABB either. However, as for general reception, including many here on the forum, I think it would have been received much better than coyote.
I can already predict a new pack, frontier already did Americas so what if we take a trip to the country with the most people in it.

I wouldn't be mad. Might finally get my raccoon dog, and the Reeve's muntjac and golden pheasant. Though they'd probably put in the Chinese alligator.
The problem with China is that its animals have so much potential, but that'll also lead to Planet Zoo instead of focusing on asked animals to pulling some Chinese Mountain Cat, Chinese ferret-badger, and more. If we were to get a Chinese animal pack it is a must for GSNM, Chinese Alligator, and Peres David Deer.

It would be laughable if Frontier decided to make a Chinese Animal Pack and put a 102% increase on the DLCs price for American Players
country packs are unironically one of the best concepts for dlcs and it's a shame that only Brazil, India and China are the only ones that could currently work.

Theres so many animals in other nations like a Cameroon Animal Pack with a scenario in Dja Reserve with animals like Honey Badgers, African Bush Elephant {Updated Elephant}, Rock Hyrax, Common Duiker, African Civet, and more. Another one could be a Canada Animal pack with animals like Trumpeter Swan, North American Porcupine, Canadian Lynx, Mountain Goat, Elk, and more.
Any Nation can currently work its just that Frontier doesn't want to do Nation Countries probably as once they open those doors everyone will start asking for their own country to be represented.
Nah, the raccoon dog is better. Just because we got a lame coyote doesn't mean every dog becomes a write-off.

Both are amazing and iconic in Chinese and Japanese Culture. Both doesn't need to be write-off and both are fantastic. Though Tanuki is a little bit of a freak in its culture....
