Hey guys it's been a while how's it go-
Certainly an interesting thread to read through...
That aside, while not being big on the domestic train I gotta say I don't hate this? Way too many ungulates yet again and the heavy focus on European breeds over all else is disappointing, but I'm at the point where most of my most wanted animals are obscure niche Oceanian species that aren't gonna be in the game anyway so I'm fine with whatever lol. The chicken is great, love that guy, and I'm actually pleasantly surprised the alpaca made it in - sure, it's probably the most redundant of the lot, but they're infinitely more common than llamas here and I also just prefer them in general. Also looking forward to the donkey and goat (should have been Nigerian dwarf but a goat's a goat), and I'm keen to learn more about the changes to guest-animal interaction!
Also a pleasant surprise to have what appears to be a new temperate Oceania map coming with the NZ scenario! Wouldn't be surprised if that was a response to some disappointment over the map that came with the Oceania Pack being so small. Also both funny and a little sad to see that they have to spam silky oaks everywhere (which aren't native to NZ) because that's the only temperate Oceanian tree in the base game.
Overall looking forward to this! Not what I would have done (still a wild animal nerd through and through) but still has a few animals I'm interested in and will be great additions to my builds, and at this point I'm just happy to see the game's support still continuing. I don't see this as the last pack personally - this would be a pretty flat ending if it does turn out to be the final DLC, but even then it's no reason to throw the kind of fit I've seen from numerous people in this thread. The game's still had a pretty fantastic run.
